Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Coronavirus campsite closures

Just wondering if camp sites are going to start closing or will they be told to close because of the virus! It may be the only break we will get this summer! Would it be possible to use every second pitch and keep people as separated as possible? After all, there wont be many foreign campers or caravans coming over so…

Would it be possible to use every second pitch and keep people as separated as possible? After all, there wont be many foreign campers or caravans coming over so space shouldn't be a problem. Toilet blocks and playgrounds are the main concerns that I would see! I have heard of one or two closing or not opening until late April so it would be good to see a list of sites that plan to stay open or close.

Most are closed at present, even the all year round campsites as an extra precaution. I think it is probably too early to say.
