The plug jump into the wall is just beaten to being the best thing about that ad by the proud scream from the dad at the end.

This one gets me to. I have been abroad nearly all my adult life and barely remember that ad as a kid.

The excitement of the mother is so heartfelt- putting your electric blanket on is such a mammy thing to do. :)

    I love the Apple one!

This is the first time ever I saw the Dunnes, Tesco and Sky Cinema ones (so, thank you DvB for sharing them !) All three are right in my chords/heartstrings !

    Take your pick.

If I attended my fathers funeral only for him to pop out after with a 'surprise' i'd be using whatever came to hand...

I would go for frozen myself !

Seriously though, I prefer the Heathrow Bear Dad and the Pandora Dad who get on a plane themselves !

I love that ESB one with the electric blanket, and her apron...and the song...all lovely.

My top favourite of all time is this one, though: I watch it all through the year - it always makes me cry and yet it's so gently funny, too.
    Just the sweetest ever.

(Do you do it as an attachment?)

interesting article on BBC Website: "Christmas adverts - do they really work?"

    "A good Christmas ad should:

Tell a good story in which the brand plays a key part

Trigger an emotional response, but not be too serious or sad

Provide an epic Christmas experience that draws people in. "

    Funnily enough I didn't.
The previous one with the elves workshop & the faster version of the song (which has been removed in my earlier post by Youtube) I remember clearly, but not that one for some reason.

Hate is a strong word but I would apply it to that ad. The guy sounds so freaking creepy. Hate it.

Saw the Dunnes ad a couple of times over the weekend. Really like it. Looked familiar, did they have it last year or is new for this year?

    Same as last year.

I still prefer the one before that with the dad regifting a book to his daughter though.
