    Temperatures rose with the approaching front here last night near Tralee getting up to 9.6C. Heavy rain overnight at times , some hail mixed in as well and a big hail shower just went through a few mins ago. AWS saying 8mm atm but think it is under reading.

    Windy overnight getting up to 63 km/h, lightened off now but gusty in the big showers.

    Very little sunshine today as the dense fog slowly lifted and the advancing occluded front's high cloud drifted over. This helped supress temperatures for all of daylight hours with a high of just 4.5c. However, the rain has started to fall and temperatures are rising further to 5.6c presently. I guess that is the thin warm sector wedge passing through.
