Commercial property oversupply in Dublin

It seems to me that in Dublin there are new offices everywhere. I live near the IFSC and there are lots being built. I work near Harcourt street and there are couple around there just finishing. Add in the revamp of places like Molesworth st etc., and it seems like we must be hitting an oversupply stage?

Surely the rents will have to take a hit? How come there are so many offices being built and relatively few apartments? Is it from a policy or zoning?

They wouldn't be building them if there wasn't the demand. I was under the impression therre was a massive shortage of office space in Dublin, at least until very recently if that's changed. Apartments aren't as profitable would be my guess.
