Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    I'm going to need to remember these for a day when I'm not so frustrated....


    Running our exams online, Questions students asked this week

    "Im confused about if we print it out or type in". Instructions: Please complete the exam either by printing and filling in, or by writing solutions in the copy. Please put your images INTO the google document itself.

    "Miss, I don’t see any documents when I click part 2" I checked. Its there. He found it when he was told it was there....

    "Is there two parts off the Sumer exam" The title of the assignment is Summer Exam Part 1. There is also clearly a second assignment on the page.

    "Can you see my work" (variants by about 15 students....) when the work is clearly attached to the post. I guess that one is just nerves to be fair



    But the icing on the cake.... I posted the assignment. Its a document with their maths questions in it. Looks the same as every maths test they have ever had

    Drumroll.....

    "Ms, do we just have to make up some questions ourselves"

    I'm using Google Classroom, I had a student having a great time, cancelling all the comments I made and resubmitting the work. I'm not doing it again! God love these kids, they can use TikTok but can't press the 'Turn in' button :)

    Tell him you can't play his video so he needs to scan every frame into powerpoint so when you scroll through the slides it'll appear like a movie.

    I had two today

    One with a ‘I couldn’t find the test’. Google doc history? He not only had been in the document, he had personally deleted all of the images.....

    Second ‘my paper didn’t have a 3c’. But then uploaded an image of 3b with the edge of their answer to 3c visible....
