Have been quoted for a package as follows:

7 nights in the 3* Parkhotel Sölden
€ 1215 (flights, 10kg hand luggage, 20 kg bag, accommodation with breakfast and resort fees included)
    € 124 train ticket
    € 285 lift pass (approx)
    € 160 equipment hire (approx)
    € 140 Board school (approx)

    About €1925 in total.

Does anyone think it could be done for less?

New year's "week" is prob the most expensive week of the season to go boarding. I don't know if you will get much cheaper in solden as the hotels flights etc rocket the prices for the week that is in it.

For the time of year and as a solo traveller it's not a bad price plus if its a slow start to the season you have an advantage over lower Austrian resorts.
