feeling fairly chilly outside now, certainly the coolest it's been in almost a week. The warmth may be gone but at least it's going to be mostly dry for another 5 or 6 days and great gardening weather.

The weather over the past week certainly went some distance at delivering a slice of summer which failed for much of the summer so when the Atlantic does come back roaring soon enough it won't feel as bad. Autumn proper will probably begin in about a week's time and the countdown to the all important winter.

Bright and breezy out here now. Dazzling after the last few cloud-dark, airless days. Quite lovely!

It looks like the West has got the good weather again.

We had a few lovely days in the East which had more sunshine in total than June 3 to August 31 combined. Warmer too. We're back to cooler temperatures with cloud and mist again but at least it's not raining.

Not really sunny in West these past few days

In fact its like someone stuck some cloud on their finger and pressed it
down on Connaught these past few days.

Look at satellite today when it clears in all but the West bar the coasts.

Beautiful sunny morning again in Dun Laoghaire with temps around 16 degrees. Hopefully it might creep up another degree or two in the afternoon.

Cooler than recent days but it is mid-September in Ireland so anything above 15 and dry and sunny is OK imo.

Yesterday mist and fog rolled in and spoiled things somewhat from around 3 to 6pm when temps were about to peak so hopefully that doesn't happen again today or at the weekend.

The grey glory continues. Skied cleared after dark last night and it was nice to see the stars for a change, but the grey moved back just in time for sunrise. Thankfully though it does not feel as heavy or as humid as recent days, which is likely down to the slight but nice feeling on the skin breeze.
