The polls are pretty one sided so far but let's see where the good people of After Hours stand a week out from the election....

How do you intend to vote for in the Irish Presidential Election 2018 1624 votes

    Peter Casey (IND)
    0% 0 votes
    Gavin Duffy (IND)
    56% 914 votes
    Joan Freeman (IND)
    0% 15 votes
    Seán Gallagher (IND)
    2% 35 votes
    Michael D. Higgins (IND)
    1% 17 votes
    Liadh Ní Riada (SF)
    37% 608 votes
    Spoil/Abstain
    2% 35 votes

    I can’t see names on 4 and 6

    They're alphabetical: Work it out.

Or are they on your Ignore List?

I'm not voting at all, for the first time. This Presidential pretend race and the blasphemy palaver, not to mention the load of referendums yet to come has me fed up to the gills with participating in democracy. I never win anyway, so feck that, I'm done. Go ahead and do whatever ye want to and with whoever ye want.

I was going to vote for President Higgins but since he wont release his "expenses" til after the election (fishy) i'm probably gonna vote casey
it's also a great chance to sting the bookies
got a tenner on at 100/1

It was pretty accurate for the abortion referendum.
Maybe Casey is worth a punt.

Obviously, AH isn't a fair representation of the wider electorate (most of whom are too busy with the farm to devote any more time to the auld racism), but it looks like Sean Gallagher and Gavin Duffy are going to be the biggest victims of Peter Casey's surge.

Michael D for me - he’s the epitome of a president and the so called scandal about his expenses is nothing but a cynical attempt to lose him votes.

I think the results of this poll says more about the users of After Hours than the outcome of the Presidential race

They were spot on for the abortion and marriage referendums so I wouldn't be so sure of that.

If Peter Casey gets anywhere near it we've reached peak trump and Ireland is as messed up as America and Britain

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,194 ✭✭✭Zorya

Heh. Either people are having a laugh or we could have our Trump moment yet. Which would be fine by me.

I'll count this one as my actual vote. I'd definitely go for this Casey lad now.
