First off, total newbie to the weather forum so apologies if this has already been covered. I was browsing the met.ie forecasts, which I do most days for planning cycling, and saw some really unusual rainfall patterns with lots of very intense very localised showers (22-30 mm/hour in places). I can't remember seeing any much more than 12 mm/hour on this site previously and was wondering what it represented beyond the obvious downpours. Summer thunderstorms maybe or a glitch in the predictive modeling? Guessing keep my waterproof gear packed out cycling either way ;)

Edit, just saw the following weather warning on RTE; https://www.rte.ie/news/weather/2020/0615/1147547-weather-warnings/
