Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Light shower of rain here currently, so strange to see it! The lawnmower kicked up dust everywhere yesterday when cutting the grass, never had that before. Mad stuff Ted.

    Mostly cloudy in North Kildare, was the same leaving Dublin about an hour ago. Looks like it should become partly cloudy in an hour or so and maybe even mostly sunny or even sunny/clear sky by lunchtime.

    Met Eireann radar suggests that an area of pretty heavy rain has moved Southwestwards across South Dublin and North Wicklow. Can anyone confirm?

    There's another area a bit further north, moving from North Dublin towards North Wicklow, which seems to be intensifying slightly.

    Overnight low of -2.3c in South Laois, but the real headline grabber is the Grass Minimum hit a bitter -7.0c. These temperatures are from official thermometers, whilst the AWS shows that the time spent below 0c last night was five hours. This no doubt will have hit tender plants hard.
