Just dropped in there and met Greg. Lovely guy and some cracking images on display. Well worth a visit.

Time on your hands or fancy a photo challenge or two from around your county?

http://www.wikilovesmonuments.ie/ <- a competition attached, be aware that you'd be submitting your work to the great wiki in the sky cloud for further use/release under creative commons <- in other words do read the t&c's and be happy before partaking.

Could be a fun thing to get involved with - each county represented, and contribute to the bigger project/greater community. Kinda a photo scavenger exercise.

Forgot about that one. I got 8th in Ireland last year and went on to the international competition. Never heard anymore about it.... http://www.wikilovesmonuments.ie/irelands-winners/

Photowalk tomorrow - meeting at 11am outside Stephens Green shopping centre. Stopping for lunch and finishing up at about 5pm. Will take in a few of the places listed on the Wiki Monuments Competition and a route will be given to everyone when they arrive.

If anyone is late turning up - just send a PM to me!

The launch for the Photobook is also tomorrow night, starting at 7.30pm. With wine and a presentation from Greg Matthews, it promises to be a great night.

Looking forward to seeing some new and some familiar faces :)

For those who don't know, there is a really wonderful exhibition of portraits on show at the National Museum in Collins Barracks. It continues until 31st December.

Free admission and I've been 3 or 4 times already.
