I tried to buy a repeater off myamplifiers website only to get a nasty letter in the post telling me it was illegal and could face a 5000 euro fine if i did not renounce the ownership of the item to comreg. Just a warning out there to anyone...

I took a photo of the letter...

    The link should be: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ufy12nykirat3ui/comreg.jpg?dl=0

Had a look and in fairness the hand writing on that is shocking, looks like a 3 year old wrote it.

Always amazes me how quick COMREG can act(with threats) when it comes to ordinary individuals but when it comes to ordinary individuals require Comregs assistance dealing with a stroppy ISP they always seem to have an excuse why they can do nothing.

It was destroyed by customs, unless the OP has a very fat wallet.

They'll offer a Femtocell for €45 or so (requires a broadband connection, any provider). Ask for a "SureSignal".

A repeater needs a licence as it broadcasters the signal.

Vodafone and Meteor offering "Voice over WiFi"for specific handsets ( S6, S7 and the like)

We're not suffering, only complaining 😞

You mean Eir Mobile and Meteor?
    Unless Vodafone launched something today?
