    HI all,

Setting up a separate thread for discussing the Boards mock draft. Lets keep all chat and discussions around the picks in this thread.

I picked Quinnen Williams first so hopefully that'll open things up.

    Thomond2006 is OTC

Nick Bosa taken by SF. D9Male PMed and is now on the clock.

Like the picks for both. If you look at where the Cardinals have gaps, Williams fits the biggest one where there is top level talent in the draft. Arguably not the same positional value as DE but he probably has the combined highest ceiling and floor in the draft.

49ers have muddied the waters a bit by signing Ford, but MAGA Bosa makes the most sense. As any DL with so many 1st round picks should be, they'd compete for one of the scariest in the league, especially if they can finally get better output from Thomas.

I am really struggling with adding images and videos. I hope they show up for you.

Anyway, the Raiders will be delighted if the draft falls this way.

Hard to argue with that Jets pick as they are in desperate need of an edge rusher and have been for the last decade plus. However I think the option the Jets FO would be hoping for most is to trade down and get a couple of extra picks as they have holes all over the place!

Love Williams at number 1, far and away the best player in the draft imo but unfortunately that position just doesn't have the value associated with it. I can see him having a bit of a fall and someone at the 5-8 range getting an absolute steal especially if there's trade ups for whatever QB's are available

I don't think the raiders will pass on William if his still available

And done. So many options, it can be hard to pick.

Must be difficult for GM's in the NFL who pick later on in the first round as the draft can go so many different ways with QB's that you would want to have quite a number of players that you would be comfortable taking and not have your heart set on one particular player.

Ed Oliver is an absolute steal at 14. If Green Bay pass on him I will have an aneurysm.

Yeah Oliver would be a dream pick for the Falcons at 14, there's even talk of them trading up to get him.

No wide receiver taken yet surprisingly

Titans could use a wide receiver but I went defensive line instead

    I've a feeling the Steelers will take a receiver, we'll see :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,980 ✭✭✭✭Foxtrol

That draft is a bit strange with WR and CB (and even RB), not many guys hyped to be star level talents but the groups are deep and very good guys will be found in the 2nd or 3rd round.

We’re moving along at a good pace here, a second round is definitely doable.

Nope! Part of that is personal: I don't think WRs are good value in general in the first round, and the draft has plenty of options to it.

Ravens pick is in and thomand2006 has been pm'd

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,926 ✭✭✭mikemac2

Certainly no moaning from me if my Ravens take AJ Brown at 22

Ozzie Newsome never drafted a successful 1st round wide receiver in 21 years

New GM, lets hope new track record

I'll put up my pick in the morning.

Was looking to take DK in my next pick. He's probably the most interesting prospect in the draft imo, has both boom and bust written all over him.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,333 ✭✭✭brinty

As a Cowboys fan I'd hate Dexter Lawrence landing in Philly if our board held up

Raiders are really going to be an interesting proposition, I think as someone already noted they might try and go high powered offence but with doubts at QB, beast mode not being his Seattle best and questions over AB's attitude it could be very boom bust.

Their o line also needs beefing up to protect Carr (or Murray)

Will make my pick later on, was away for the weekend. Apologies.
