ok so guys just got back from jonesborugh and i got to say, some value for your poun , i spent £60 which got me quite a lot id say, below are the prices:

    Power Pulse Rockets: £35 ( i got 1 pack )
    Delta Force: 2 packs for £5 ( i got 2 packs )
    Thunder Rockets: 2 packs for £5 ( i got 6 packs )
    Sky Bolt Rockets: £10 a pack ( i got 2 packs )
    Photon Burst: 2 packs for £5 ( i got 2 packs )

I know this adds upto £80 but i haggled the hell outta them and then it got dropped to £60, best thing to say to haggle is ' oh ill go and see what the other shop prices are ' , right away the power pulse went from £35 to £25 and then they said they would give me 2 packs of delta force for free and also 2 packs of photon burst for free, as they ' wanted to be nice ' , they just overheard me saying to a mate ill check the other other shop as they have cheaper thunder rockets.

Also keep in mind i went to the last shop of the row, the one closest to the boots stand, hope this is helpful to anyone in the future! all these prices are of 15-10-17 at 9:15 in the morning.

We're all the shops open on the row at the market? First or second one as you turn in, think it has a black cat on the sign is normally good, second last one with a bright star sign is that where you got your stuff

Are these the packs with various different sizes? And you get about 25-30 rockets in all?

They had tapirki bangers for £15 a sleeve, it was in the last shop, after bad boy and then diamond, but the bai said they aren’t worth the money so I didn’t get any

Ah yeah, a quick google search and I saw them,

Not a big fan of those packs, always seemed a bit of a let down,

There’s nothing like the bang off a War Hawk!

Do the lads in the market take Euro?

Yes they do mate, but £ is what you should go with as thunder rockets are 2 packs for 7€ which is around £6 whereas with sterling you can get 2 packs for £5 , you just get more with Sterling and since I’m from the north I generally have more of it on me, and also they may be a let down if I got them for £35 but I got them for £25 which they should be better value for money

if i tell ya the truth, youd be safer go sunday, dont think the shops are open on monday as the day i was up, the person in the last shop said they should be sold out by the 29th as i was thinking the same as you, going up day before halloween get a lot of good deals, better than usual, but they might still be there if you go up, really just depends if a lot of people have gone up or not

You'll get plenty at this place in Jonesborough :

Was talking to the staff when I was up there a couple of weeks ago, they said that they sell through out the year, don't forget that Guy Fawkes night is Nov 5th, plus New Years eve isn't too far away.......

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,375 ✭✭✭5500

I went to the place above start of November last year and there was literally about 4 cakes, a few trident missiles and 1 selection box left, it was a waste of time. Fireworks specialist and fireworks factory on the old Dublin road both had a lot more stuff still in them

Cheers for that, do they have any contact information by any chance? And is it the container thing where he sells them from or is it the shop behind it? Don't want to drive all the way up and they are closed/have nothing haha. I wanted them for this weekend for a birthday party.

That's what I'm afraid of, they'll have nothing or they won't be open. If they had any contact information it would be nice.

Time to fire it up again...

I phoned the shop above and they said they have some in stock.

Does anyone know if the other place back up the road a bit is open as well ?

    Thanks.

Might get lucky on a Sunday with the shops at the market at the minute, too soon for them to be open midweek yet. Wonder will prices be any better with the weak sterling too

    No post in 2 years.
Whats the story at the moment?

Google shows 2 shops on the Dublin road off junction 20 heading towards newry.
    Is there anything in Jonesborough?

There's also a shop showing between Dundalk and Castleblaney but its a bit out of the way.

Is there anywhere you'd recommend? Are the shops just over the border going to be more expensive than the shops further into the North?

The shop in Jonesborough are the best bet in my opinion. I’ve gone there that last 4 years now.

I went on Friday as I was aware Dublin was about to get locked down (and 3 weeks could easily become 6 weeks!!)
