Roses - 753g Quality Street - 780g €6.00 until 2nd November in Tesco IIRC these got down to a fiver last year pre Christmas? Any other place have any of the ones listed in the thread title on special at present i.e. €6.00 or below ?

People will get them in for halloween, sure they are on sale all year round in various sizes. The christmas selection boxes are really only specifically for christmas.

Some tubs are lighter this year.

Celebrations Tub 650G (were the same)
Caddbury Heroes 600G Tub (were 660g)
Cadbury Roses 600G Tub (seems it was 660g)

anyone ever counted or calculated how many sweets there are in these tubs? they are handy for rewards. one if you eat your dinner. one if you have done your homework. one if you have laid the foundations and put in a dermot bannon extension in the back.

Got them in Tesco Newry- and Sainsburys had some varieties (not all) at the same price.

Some online offers:

Tesco @ £3.50 for Celebrations
Tesco @ £3.50 for Quality Street
Tesco @ £3.50 for Roses

They had them at 2 for £5 instore.

I have no idea about Asda (I wasn't in there).

Sainsburys (Newry again) had a pallet of Celebrations just inside the door- at the same price (£3.50 each or 2 for £5). They don't seem to have them up on their website (at all- just the smaller boxes).

I bought these last Saturday morning (in Tesco Newry).

All 4 are down to 3.99 in tesco now. Mine said a limit of 4 per customer, plenty in stock.

None of them have offer signs, i.e. they are not yellow labelled with start/end dates. As I said in the last post they change these at anytime so not to be trusted.

they are priced per kilo, and a decent price relative to other bars. This nonsense comes up every year, as though years ago you could these gigantic tins for the equivalent of 4euro. I was saying tesco is still cheaper per kilo in the small tubs. And I would prefer smaller tubs too as I end up eating them too fast as is!

I got celebrations it is 664g incl wrappers 650g of chocolates.

6.14 per kilo.

Just looking at a few others, the cheapest other mars product seems to be snickers. Which seems cheap enough but is still 8.90 per kilo, as bars have been shrinking in size.

Last years best offer for 1.2kg tin was €8 - and it was supervalu

Cracked open a tin of Roses and Quality Street the other day. Quality Street used to always be the poor mans Roses in this house, but Roses have had a shocking drop in quality the last few years. To the point where I'd now prefer Quality Street. Would've been unthinkable back in the day.
