Iceland giving out coupons in the freesheet paper Galway Advertiser
Never seen that before, normally it's a higher threshold spend

Does anyone know if Tesco will take them?

    Definitely

Anyone seen these in Dublin papers?

Doubtful Tesco would take them as it's usually only Dunnes, Supervalu, ALDI and LIDL i.e. their national competitors. Iceland and M&S would be at store discretion maybe if there's one next door or something.

Wouldn’t take them from me a few months ago when I tried to use them. Said they only take likes if Dunne’s, super valu etc

Anyone got recommendations for whats good in Iceland. I made kebabs with their kebab meat last night and it was awful, way too fatty and ruined a good meal. I like their chocolate eclairs though, bargain at 1.49 for 6 of them.

In Iceland the frozen seafood e.g. prawns and seafood mix is good.
You can pickup some uncommon things like venison or waygu burgers.
If you use ready meals the gourmet ready meals are nice but pricey.

And if you are going camping, real SPAM!

The lamb chops with mint from the cold shelf are good. They also have good sauces and condiments.

    Beam me up Scotty.

Iceland have their own brand Goujons, purple freezer bag. Deadly portions

Toad in hole(sausage/ Yorkshire pudding combo) is tasty too

Usually a good deal on water / kitchen roll / washing up liquids

Some surprisingly nice stuff at Iceland. Off the top of my head
    Hash Brown Fries
    Stone Baked Pizzas
Their expensive Haddock and Cod (6.20 for 2 pieces)
    Mini vienetta ice creams
    Garlic and Herb sausages
The 'majestic' ice creams (knock off magnums) are nicer than the real thing

The purple iceland goujons are nice indeed.
2x crates of Fanta for €15 (48 cans) has been pretty regular recently.
I LOVE their Indian dishes - I think it is own brand Madras, Balti, Jalfrezi - all at €2 each (no rice).

Their "no bull" burgers are amazing, best veggie burger available in Ireland.

I was going to print that and try it in cork but I see they have a code gal next to the barcode

I'd give it a go, its only some code, not like its explicitly saying only for use in galway. Just ask before you start shopping if you do not plan on spending 40 without it.

great idea, should be brought in in all major supermarkets

Dunnes doing extensive voucher campaign. August is very quiet month.

Christmas is on the minds of all retailers.

This is a pure marketing gimmick to get footfall in the quietest month of the year.
