    Moneygold, Co.Sligo

    Lettermacaward, Co.Donegal

    Kilmucridge, Co.Wexford

    and the piece de resistance....

    Newtownpothouse, Mallow, Co.Cork

like what were they smoking down there....?!
Is the translation something like Baile Nua Teach na Spliffini?!

Thats a funny one, never heard of that place before.

Horse and Jockey in County Tipperary is a strange enough name for a village I think.

AH FECK ! I knew someone would come up with that one, Im from real near there. It might interest you to know one of the writers of Father Ted is also from the area, might explain the constant use of the word Feck !

I nearly crashed my car once late at night when I bent my neck to have a double take at the Muff road sign upon entering said Muff years back:D

I remember it was a bit of welcome relief to enter Muff having been pulled over by 6 Brit soldiers with guns pointing at my car in Derry quite late on a Sunday night only an hour previous......

Coming back at ya with Sallys Gap, Co.Wicklow and Cock Hill, Stamullen, Co.Meath.

If truth be known a mate of mine lives in Cock Hill in Co.Meath which should be quite embarrassing but not as embarrassing as one of her neighbours whose name is Richard Ryder !

Ah, i stand corrected. 'The South' tends to blend into one area when you're 8.

    Leopardstown.
    Punchestown.
    Dolphin's Barn.
    Birr.
    Windgap, in Waterford I think.

And another thing: it's not Irish but what dullard decided to name the country "Iceland"? Great, poetic leap of the imagination there. It would be like calling Ireland "Grassland" or "Rainland".
