Plenty of lightning ongoing in North Wexford and south Wicklow. In the past 15/20 minutes, there's a marked development of a fairly narrow but increasingly intense band orientated NW to SE stretching from just SE of Tullow down to east of Wexford town.

Even in the dark that's a stunning view spookwoman.

I'm awake since first peel at 1.30 (just south east of Gorey).

Lightning here now with very distant thunder, on the carlow kilkenny border. Not to far from enniscorthy so probably from there

I'm in Enniscorthy and the Thunder was biblical here last night. I'm also fairly sure there was a lighting strike close to my house because there was a crash but not like that from thunder.

Unfortunately I've no internet today so maybe that's the cause

Could see these huge towering glowing white clouds building out to sea and moving inland last night. Most of the flashes I saw were on the Wexford side.

I normally sleep through thunderstorms but was woken just after 4am by a clap of thunder and looked out to see the most biblical rain I'd seen in years here in Enniscorthy or anywhere for that matter.
The moss on the roofs around here is nearly all gone due to the ferocity of the rain.

Rough day here in Kerry. Quite blustery with convective gusts getting up over 60km/h regularly and getting frequent heavy squally hail and rain showers . Temp up and down in the showers, just reached 8.1c but dropping to 6C or so in the showers. Thunder and lightning about 10.30 gave a mighty rattle to the place.

Plenty of convection streaming in off the atlantic.

Been a while since there was a chance of some convective type weather.

Cold Post frontal air mass over relatively warm seas with the passage of an upper trough producing enough instability for the formation of Convectus and Cb's giving widespread heavy showers , some of hail and thunder possible. Should be some impressive cloudscapes. Clouds moving quickly along in a fresh wind , should be sunny spells also.

Upper trough will slide southeastwards across the British Isles on Wednesday. On the forward side, a cold front will move across England and Wales under the influence of a strongly sheared environment. As such, some elements of line convection seem likely, which may produce some bursts of squally rain and gusty winds.

Behind the cold front, numerous wintry showers will develop as cold air aloft overspreads relatively warm SSTs, generating a couple hundred J/kg CAPE. Several troughs / occlusions embedded in the northwesterly flow will enhance the shower risk, providing some more organised bands of showers at times. A few sporadic lightning strikes will be possible, primarily over open seas and near adjacent coasts.

Looks like a decent little thunderstorm in Clew Bay area at the moment. Fair number of strikes showing up on detectors.

And a high proportion of them look to be positive strikes, as is common in wintertime storms.

Yip....but quite crude as when you zoom in the '+'s, indicating strikes, do not scale down accordingly, so it's hard to pinpoint the location of individual strikes.

UKMO lightning detector far better to use/look at to pinpoint locations of individual strikes.
