Just in case this might be useful for anyone.

They're selling this Sharp 32" TV in Lidl this week for €179.99 - https://www.lidl.ie/en/special-offers.htm?articleId=19670

They've got the same one on offer in the UK, and when I went into Lidl the other day I saw the box showing it as Saorview (as well as Freeview HD DVB-T2) certified, but also the specs mention it having a DVB-S2 (satellite) tuner - also confirmed on that page on the Lidl website.
    HD Tuner DVB-T/T2/C/S/S2 (MPEG4 + HEVC/H.265)

Might be worth it for anyone after a fairly cheap TV that will do both Irish (DTT) and UK (satellite) free channels.

I'm not sure what the user interface is like on Sharp TVs and what it's like flicking between the Digital Terrestrial and Satellite inputs.

    Screen resolution: 1,366 x 768 pixels

That would put me off TBH ..... I would want a Full HD screen if buying these days.

You won't notice the difference between 720p and 1080p on a 32 inch screen TBH

A similar spec Sharp set is sold in some Asda in the UK. LC-F15432 series. I had one for a week before returning it.

    2 problems.

    1. I could not re order the satellite channels. Neither Asda helpline or UMC (the actual manufacturer) could help. One day before returning it I sat down to try to solve it. The answer was to set it up in Irish mode, not UK. I imagine it is disabled in the UK mode to stop one re ordering Freeview channels. Crap idea.

    2. I stored over 1000 satellite channels over 4 satellites using a diseqc switch. It then became intolerably slow. Ask it to change channel and nothing happened for maybe half a minute.
