    Popped up as breaking news at the PL on Sky just there

    Although he was before my time he left a great legacy. I actually played against him at an exhibition in 2013 nice guy.

    Rip, great work by the commentators acting so professional after this shocking news.

    He didn't lead the healthiest of lifestyles but for him to pass away this young is shocking.

    I watched a terrific programme aboutcthe heyday of darts on BBC 4 just a couple of nights ago featuring Eric heavily.
    Good character. RIP.

    Terrible news, him, Jocky and Lowe made me fall in love with darts. You don't appreciate the skill involved until you actually throw a few darts and Eric was a true darts superstar
