Killer whales declare war on Japan.

It seems while carrying out whaling operations in the southern ocean. The crew on-board the Mv Nisshin Maru whaling vessel detected a gas leak and jumped overboard into the water before deploying the lifeboats.
A pod of killer whales probably maybe ones the ship were after, seized the chance and ate 16 crew members. Sympathies to the families and all that but it's more than likely the whales knew exactly what was happening with that vessel and that humans were on-board and seized their chance for retribution.

The trouble is that this vessel will now be turning whales that get away into man killers.

Not read the article yet, but of its true it would be the first time killer whales attacked a human in the wild.

The story seems kind of fishy perhaps what really happened was leaking gas poisoned and killed the 16 crew, and the Japanese are trying to cover it up by blaming it on the whales.

If it is true, then this is the first reported case of wild killer whales targeting and eating humans.

Edit: Fair play, OP ha ha.

This is why we must all support the Japanese in their noble endeavour to eradicate a serious threat to humanity.

We see again the folly of sending the Irish fleet to Rockall when it should be patrolling the Southern Ocean. The Daily News informs us this was all a plot to stir up war between Ireland and Scotland to tie up our naval resources.

It's them or us. I hear whale makes nice sushi too.

Wow is this definitely a true story? As far as Im aware there has never been a documented case of a killer whale attacking a human in the wild before. So this would be an extraordinary event

I see its a spoof news website. What is the point of this story? Its not even funny at all :/

    Wow that's crazy.

This is the first time in recorded history that Orcas have killed humans in the wild. All other human deaths were when orcas were in captivity.

And to think the first incident resulted in 16 deaths.

Edit: just noticed it's a fake news site.

I'd be more worried about us getting them based on previous RWC results :pac:

I wonder why whales get so much attention while supertrawlers the size of container ships continue to wreck entire ecosystems that whales may depend on

Sharknado was based on a true story too.

In a general sense you are correct of course, but in the context of this thread I label you not a team player.

The Japanese will obviously have to build a giant bipedal robot or Godzilla to fight the whales.
