We might as well get started on this thread now as its usually popped up by now.
I created a route but as usual its open to suggestions and alterations.
I've thrown in a few of 2016's greatest hits, Cunard road,The Wall,Red lane and then the loop of four climbs in the middle will be done from the opposite direction this time.
Then its up Liam Horner and we finish off we an nice easy climb up burrow road to Johnny Foxes.
Think of it as a hybrid of the two previous years events;)
Its about 15-17 climbs depending on what you count as a climb.

June bank holiday weekend. Gives an extra day to recover

Traditionally held on the day before the WW200 - so the WW200 can be done as a recovery ride.

The Full Wall and Red Lane before you hit 60km. I'm in :p

Was on the June bank holiday this year. Haven't they changed the w200 to that weekend also?

Anyway the date can be sorted to suit the masses

That's a given daragh that you'll be there.
The first 100km is the, if it's not 15% it's not in edition.

Time to finally climb that bleeding Red Lane, I was only going down there a few times and it was bad enough.

    And no Lake Drive!

Not too sure if I can make it on the day, traditionally ;)

Would you like to make up the charter of excuses for the day or should i. :)

And i think most would be happy with no lake drive, Its bloody energy sapping but the few short climbs will easily make up for it.

Red lane isn't that tough (says the guy who's never completed more than 25% of an Evil :P )

Next year Colm?. You have plenty of 100+ km spins this year so you should well be able for it.

Agree, the very steep part is fairly short.

It's not nearly as bad as that little climb south of Laragh where you cross a river at a beautiful little church. (Clara?) It was in the 2016 Evil and I came very close to doing the walk of shame there.

I'll tell everyone I am going all year and then just not show up and not post in the thread again, every year so far, why break with tradition.

Hopefully the link works? Few slight amendments would bring you might closer to 5k climbing for not many more total km.

OK, it was worth the extra 500m to go over 5k.
