I was in Easons the other day and seen this game on the shelf!! Never knew it existed. I'm seriously tempted to get it and give it a go. Be nice to do jobs in comfort for a change!!

Has anyone played it? I searched boards and found this

Good game but it's more of a farm machinery simulator than a farm simulator.

This game is all about the add on mods that you can down load. There is a site called ls uk which has the best ones. Some of them are fantastic.
Ferguson 20's and ford 7000's in beautiful animation and farms in an Irish and English style with hedgerows and ditches and stuff.

Great game but not really challenging but your inner child should be well satisfied.

I have it. One of my younger brothers got it and I do be tipping away some evenings :D

It works best when you've highspeed broadband. You can download a load of machinery and tractors from http://www.ls-uk.info/downloads

We figured a way to get as much money as you want aswell ;). Serious fun if you know your way around a computer.

About the money, you can just edit your career savegame but the easier thing is to download the money mod!One click and youre loaded!!

I haven't found any map I like yet though. They are all way too big if your playing single player.

    Hi,

I do play farming simulator 2009 and 2011 I think it a really good game if your interested in farming. There are a huge rang of different machinery (tractors, combines, trailer etc) to download on different sites I use http://www.ls-uk.info/ . Different maps can also be download if you get tired of one map. I do make maps for the game and I know people that make mods (farm machinery).

With Farming Simulator 2011 you can play it on MP (Mulitplayer) which makes the game much better and get jobs on the farm done faster.

I have being playing farming simulator for about 2 years now so if ya need to know anymore information on it do ask. :)

    Brian

P.S I am also new to boards.ie this is my first post.

    System Requirements Windows Version
Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7
2.0 GHz Intel or equivalent AMD processor (**)
Nvidia Geforce 6800 Series, ATI Radeon X850, S3 Chrome 430 GT or better (min 256 MB VRAM)
    1 GB RAM
1 GB free hard drive space
    Soundcard

    System Requirements Mac Version
    Mac OS X 10.5.8, 10.6.1 or 10.7.1
    1.83 GHz cpu or better
Nvidia Geforce 8600, ATI Radeon X1600 or better (min 256 MB VRAM)
    1 GB RAM
1 GB free hard drive space
    DVD-ROM Drive

You would nearly want more than 1GB of RAM for it.

    Yes I am using a laptop to run the game, does fine for me but its a gaming laptop with the following specs;

    Intel® Core™ i5-700 and i5-600 processor series with Intel® Turbo Boost Technology
    Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium 64-bit
    Memory: 6GB
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M

spanner, I would join up with ya if you do it in well brook farm, it's a new map on ls uk fairly savage probably as close to an Irish farm landscape as you can get. Some incredibly tight gates and Laneways to be negotiated and hilly fields with uneven ground and a silage pit that you have to reverse down a slope and round a corner to get in to tip up.
It is the best map to date.

if I wanted to join your mp I need to have the same mods as you?do I have to delete all the mods I have that you don't have. I downloaded the fecking german version of the game so I have to google translate all the on screen prompts and they don't translate properly.

No you can keep your own mods but you still have to have the same mods as the person you are looking join... bit of a balls of a job as its nearly impossable to get the same mods

I got mine on Simmarket for around the €20 price range, best thing about buying it online from Simmarket is you get it via direct download and then you don't have to worry about minding the CD or it getting scratched.
