Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Strong south to southwesterly winds expected, mean speeds 45 to 60 km/h and gusting up to 90-100 km/h. The strongest winds likely later on Wednesday and Wednesday night, and in exposed coastal areas.

    Still a few days away but looks like a chilly weekend on the cards with winds coming down from the north,although by sunday hp is forecast to ridge up from the southwest. Atm Sunday night looks particularly chilly with a harsh frost especially in the eastern half of the country by monday morning. Although whether or not temps get as cold shown will remain to be seen.

    Any snowfall more then likely to fall over hills only IMO. Rain/hail/sleet showers at low levels I'd say.

    Things are bad when Met Eireann get it wrong within 24 hours. Heavy wintry showers apparently for today they said yesterday afternoon and now its just sunshine and rain!

    The weather fronts are seemingly moving a little faster, MetroGroup has similar, tomorrow's forecast today! 95% rain alarm, almost no rain forecast. !!! So that might mean a few really, really nasty cloudbursts.

    down to 1C now in knock. was a really nice morning here but heavy hail shower around 1pm, sky turning dark again more rain/hail on the way.

    Met Eireann has changed its forecast for snow in Kerry tomorrow. We havent gotten snow at all from 2013/2014. It was snowing minorly for about 5 mins 2 hours ago but nothing since, its definitely cold out there. Will we get snow tomorrow do ye think? :)
