    Are you tight with money?

No. But I don't waste money either.

Do you read mostly fiction or non-fiction?

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,990 ✭✭✭✭Purple Mountain

    Both equally.
Like psychological thriller fiction and then I like biographies and social science books too.
Oh and my guilty pleasure- Ross O Carroll Kelly.

    Do you volunteer anywhere?

I am not sure it's a figure more of a mindset. People who not worried about money. A rich lifestyle etc.
If you want a figure ...
Assets over 50 million and a yearly income of one million after tax.

What's the difference between being poor and being a broke loser?

    No.

It's not a question I would ever ask someone though.

I think the difference is dignity, kindness and a sense of humor.

What question would you never ask someone?

No but my dad did a few times. Said he was fascinating. I think he runs a poker club in Dublin not too sure though or owns it or something.

Who is the wisest public figure that comes to your mind?

    Jean-Claude Juncker

I think the recent programme on brexit on rte painted a picture of him and his passion to unite people for the benefit of mankind. (im sure someone will disagree)

Are you pro or anti european union or do you not care?

Are you pro or anti european union or do you not care?

I very much dislike what the EU has become and it's less and less democratic every year, which should be a worry to all.

However, I think that Brexit has the potential to be an absolute disaster for Britain and I simply do not trust the proponents of it in Britain (or England, I should say). The likes of Farage, Mogg and Johnson do not have the country's best interest at heart and if Brexit does go tits up, they won't be affected one bit.

What modern political term do you despise the most?

Kicking the can down the road.

Do you know the Philadelphia cheese add with two dads minding kids was pulled with complaints of it stereotypicalising men as careless with kids?

No, I didn't know that, nor on the other hand did I know that was even a thing that existed or a thing I should know or care about.

Speaking as a gay male, can I ask if there's some sort of gay undertone to the ad? I mean is it clearly two straight guys who don't have the wife around, or is it implied that the two guys in the ad are gay? (have never seen the ad, or care one way or another for the product it sells btw)

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,521 ✭✭✭magic_murph

Definite gay undertones - the extended version (available on YouTube*) sees the two guys ride unicorns along a beach while Sam Smith sings Celine Dion songs in the background.

(The unicorns are called Phila & delphia ( both were foster unicorns and live a lavish life in Co. Claire. )
    * Video may not exist.

The majority of TV ad's are terrible - whats the worst and best on the go at the moment?
