18.3°c in Kildare now under stunning blue skies. Such a pity that today is the last day of it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,106 ✭✭✭highdef

Thick smoke, courtesy of the cooperation of a large bog/forest fire (burning 10 days now) and an inversion has only very recently lifted as the sun warms the land. Have only been able to open a door or window in the past few minutes. There is a lingering smell in the air and from all surfaces but it's a million times better than a short while ago. Anyone in north Kildare/South Meath/North Dublin who could smell smoke this morning, the local fire was the most likely cause.

With the sky now clear, the temperature is rising rapidly, already close to 22c!!!

    21.8 c here now
Whether it goes higher depends on whether the front travel blocks the sea breeze to the south of it
    Thats what's expected today
However struggling to do so already

5kmh NE to nw atm variable so far
    Currently 3kmh nw :D

Cloud bubbling up in my corner of Dublin. But because it’s quite warm, the bit of cloud makes lying out bearable.

Warmest day since the Heatwave in June 2018 here. Max Temp was 26.1c.
Its the only day of this spell where a breeze was coming from the sea. Pity we had to wait until the last day of this spell for it to happen.

    Currently its cloudy and 18.9c

Overcast cool & dry morning in Limk City. 12.9c, 1016.9 hPa. Dry overnight.

Finally seeing some sporadic sprinkles of rain in Dublin 5. Pretty minimal amount, really need a good downpour to clear the air. The grass in our garden looks like the serengeti plains.

Met Eireann seem to be going for dry settled conditions again from Sunday. I am not sure we will even see that much rain this week.

Dull, windy, very breezy, cold, miserable. Current temperature is only a pathetic 11.2c. Was about 10c or more this time yesterday. Depressing is an understatement!

Some drizzle on and off this morning, not amounting to much with just 0.2mm recorded since midnight so far. Much cooler than yesterday with a curent temperature of 11.5C
