When one oversized space just isn’t enough...

UK reg VW Arteon parked in this position for 30 min+ last Sunday
Reported to Gardai at 2pm approx. Got a phonecall back from them at 7pm saying they were too busy to check it out and asking if it was still parked there.

Well I suppose they can legitimately claim that they're not parked on double yellow lines......

Parked up last night, and still there this morning.

Half empty car park right behind? Nah, not for me, sure the path is empty.

Worst part is, this was on the way out, there was a different car parked there on the way in.

Sure what other possible purpose could that bright red strip have, except extra parking space for BMW drivers?

    Last shopping Saturday before Christmas.
Plenty of spaces higher up in the multistory.

Why use the double spaces when you can park half out on the road?

  • Registered Users Posts: 25,420 ✭✭✭✭sligojoek

Any amount of spaces but no I'll park outside Argos for 15 mins and haul my 2 little purchases out.

Same car park. Two front tyres on the white line and the front protruding into two more spaces.

2019 reg but I don't give a s***. Park properly. I'd give them a pass if it was a nice car, but it's not. It's a bloody Diesel Kia.

She literally could have reversed 15 feet in to one of the 3 spaces free. Plenty into the left and right then too

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,009 ✭✭✭mikeecho

    Only popping in for bread.

Why bother using any of the spaces

In fairness, it's fairly difficult to work out that it's a cycle lane - with just one large sign and a picture of a bike on the ground.

Maybe he's using the drain as the line?

  • Registered Users Posts: 25,420 ✭✭✭✭sligojoek

Reversed straight in. Made no effort to park anyway properly.
