As bad as those roads are (and they are in no way acceptable) I can think of many places in Ireland that aspire to having roads in that condition!

city council's project of some sort.

    http://corkcitycentre.ie/

    interesting reading:

    "Cork City Centre Revitalisation

The City Centre is the ‘Healthy Heart’ of Cork, essential to the well being of the wider region and the country as a whole. It is also the city’s front window, playing the central role in its economic, social and cultural identity.

The City creates a network where economic activity prospers and communities work together to inspire and enable Cork to further itself. It is this combination and interaction between people and place that is the critical element to the success of urban life in our City."

I'm sorry but when I compare it to what I see in the city centre... Grand parade still in shambles. Is this the "Healthy heart" they are talking about? ... I am somewhat confused.

A few quick snaps from Bandon centre. I have to navigate this each morning either by bike or car. Each morning I hear and see different cars thunk into this potholes, and often you hear the bang of a tyre breaking.

I've really noticed the roads since I switched the CL to 19's. I must look a bit like a DUI trying to avoid the holes in the road

These roads remind me of Boston.
I asked a guy once why they were so bad and he explained that they have freezing cold winters followed by very warm summers, it's basic freeze-thaw-action at work.

2018 was the closest to Boston weather I can remember in a long time.

    Could be a factor!
