The offers have gone to the dogs. This could be the norm for the Summer!

The offers used be good up. In 2017 the offers went down in the Summer and they sort of revived themselves in September however they went down again last May and haven't being as good since.

Just a heads-up, in my LIDL Dublin store, the wine deal wasn't the advertised Rioja; it's the Chianti DOCG reduced from €9 to €6.75.

Same in Kenmare, also they had 20% off Irish sirloin roast beef which is great value.

well, summer began on 1 May - midsummer is 21 June

In fairness, Lidl have given fantastic everyday necessity deals over the years.

    It's actually confusing

'In Ireland, the summer months according to the national meteorological service, Met Éireann, are June, July and August. However, according to the Irish Calendar, summer begins on 1 May and ends on 1 August. School textbooks in Ireland follow the cultural norm of summer commencing on 1 May rather than the meteorological definition of 1 June.'

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Summer

    UK summer starts June.

According to this definition, each season begins on the first of a particular month and lasts for three months: Spring begins on March 1, summer on June 1, autumn on September 1, and winter on December 1.

I've never had the vegetable burger, but I eat the cauliflower one and the bean burgers all the time. They are really nice, especially the bean burger - nice and spicy and full of texture and flavour. Much nicer that the equivalents from Aldi.

There's no meat in them, avoid.

I like the spicy bean ones... I prefer the Aldi version but would buy these at that price.

The spicy bean burger is good. Nice with guacamole on it.

I had a look at the uk offers, they're better than ours

Is it just me that notices the price of their biscuits and bars either going up in price and/or getting cut back in size?

They are targeting the schoolkid lunch pack. Not exactly sure if the price per kg has risen. Certainly Shortbread and Custard Cream quality has tanked.

Went on the hunt for macadamias in two Lidls in Cork, no sign of them. If anyone up the country spots them and wants to send me a few bags I can make it worth your while :P :D

    Glorious day! :D:D:D:D

Wandered into Lidl this morning and low and behold... the glorious green *NEW!* sign and bags upon bags of Macadamia nuts.

€3.99 for 125g which is decent.

Just saw them today - they used to have the same ones a year or so ago. Salted unfortunately :( And VERY salted at that. Half the bag is salt iirc. Wish the would do unsalted ones like the rest of the range

They're perfect for a low-carb diet, where salt is key. The more salt the better :D

Nope. God be with the days of half price wine, tinfoil, bin bags etc! Not interested in 20% off, I want the full 50% or nothing!
