When these two heard all the rumblings around The Bullet Club in FPW, they weren't very happy to be left out of the party. And now, they are here to help remind these new folks who the OG's are....or should that be, who the OC's are?

With our final picks we are happy to bring about another one of the best junior heavyweight, and our CEOs personal favourite wrestler of the past decade.

First, joining the ranks of our junior heavyweight scene is a man who overcame a very serious injury last year, to not only return to wrestling, but put on one of the best matches of the year already. He is here to bring raw talent, but also have a little bit of fun along the way.

    Did someone say......meow?

    tenor.gif?itemid=9861249

    giphy.gif

Hiromu Takahashi has joined our ranks.

And finally, not only are we drafting this wrestler, but we are happy to share with us the match we are putting him up against. We ask our CEO Seán "The Boston Crab" what his ultimate dream match right now is, and after a long think he came back to the type of wrestling he loves to watch.
"When it comes to wrestling, I am a sucker for two tough as nails guys, not going for flips, but just laying in stiff hits and really going to town at each other. And I would love to see two of my favourites of all time, who have never faced each other in the ring before, go head to head. It wouldn't be pretty, but it would be hard hitting and full of drama.

We are happy to make that happen.

It's time, for a take over.

Alright lads time to end the drafting and get down to business. First however the BWA has to have it's say in the final round as we have some final pieces of the puzzle to complete.

First it's the lad on the Mic Below Buddy Roberts being drafted to complete the BWA's Fabulous Freebirds trio
    buddy-roberts-freebirds-nwa-championship-wrestling-1987.jpg

He won't be coming alone however as he is bringing with him a former tag partner, The Adorable one...Adrian Adonis
    ThriftyInsignificantHagfish-size_restricted.gif

My 2nd draft in this BOGOF round is also a tag team and it starts with a man Wiki cites as having been frequently challenged by Adonis when he was WWF champion and a man who has already requested to be a guest on Adrian's "Flower Shop" interview segment where apparently he wants to directly address none other than Donald Trump.

That man was also the second longest reigning WWF champion ever and I am surprised he is still available tbh...
    Bob Backlund
    fb6402c5c5496dd5adf5998c6ca1fc37.jpg

And seeing as I can (due to their time teaming together) why not take someone who was both a pretty damn good wrestler in his own right but also someone who for storyline purposes could also play the role of Mr McMahon's stooge perfectly (after all he's done it before)... Jerry Brisco
    580505c8ad4d7.image.jpg?resize=400%2C500

and with that the BWA and the draft picking rounds in general are done.

    BWA Roster 2020
    Slammasters2_logo-bwa.png
    1.John Cena
    2.Vince McMahon
    3.Mr Perfect
    3.Demolition (Ax, Smash & Crash)
    4.Cody Rhodes
    4.Goldust
    5.Dusty Rhodes
    6.Hiroshi Tanahashi
    7.The Ultimate Warrior
8.The Fabulous Freebirds (Hayes, Gordy & Roberts)
    9.Chris Benoit
    10.Lex Luger
    11.Shayna Baszler
    12.Aja Kong
    12."Superstar" Billy Graham
    13.President Donald Trump
    14.President Barak Obama

That concludes the picking phase of the 2020 PW Draft.

Thank you all for completing folks.

This thread will continue now as the Write-Up Thread.

A reminder of the Write Up Rules:
    Write Up Rules

Players are limited to a maximum of 2 posts.

One is for your company statement, to outline your roster - the major players, feuds etc. This is not mandatory.

The second post is your match card. Your ultimate fantasy match ups as drafted by you.

Due to posting limitations re: images, if you wish to extend your PPV across your two posts this is permitted.

As of now I am setting the deadline for completion of Write Ups as

Saturday, 11th April. There may be a further one week extension provided (as is tradition) if necessary, but no further extensions will be provided.

Please try to get something in, even if that is only a list of matches based on your drafted rosters.

Only those posting Write Ups (that is, your PPV card) will be eligible to vote - or be voted for.

Good luck everyone and happy writing :D

Ladies and gentlemen, Monday Night Grappling comes to you live on PPV this Sunday from Camping World Stadium, Orlando, Florida, in front of a sellout crowd of over 70,000. (Thankfully, in this universe bats aren't considered a delicacy).

It promises to be an explosive and unmissable extravaganza. As we are always interested in new viewers, here is a rundown of the state of play in our promotion.

    Our World Heavyweight Champion...

    9813698.jpg?255
Hulk Hogan, the hero of our company, an icon to the youngsters, has enjoyed a long reign as our World Champion, but there is a group led by one man that has made it their mission to destroy the Hulkster...
    The Heenan Family

    446BD2EE00000578-0-image-m-119_1505710906357.jpg
Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan has wasted no time since debuting in the promotion and has amassed an impressive array of heel talent. They are: the Intercontinental Champion The Honky Tonk Man, the United States Champion Barry Windham, Ravishing Rick Rude, Jerry 'The King' Lawler, and Greg 'The Hammer' Valentine.

Not all has been rosy in the family, however. There is conflict concerning the IC Title, which is a belt Rude has his sights set on. Meanwhile, Barry Windham has been developing a growing connection with the fans that has made Heenan question his loyalties. There have also been rumblings of discontent over Heenan's biggest acquisition to the family to date, who has jumped to the head of the queue as the number one contender for the World Title - a man who Hogan thought he could trust...
    Roman Reigns

    _3510191c-6aac-11ea-963c-5f43816952e0.jpg
Reigns, who had been Hogan's closest friend and ally in the battle with the Heenan family, shocked the fans when he turned on Hogan and delivered a vicious beatdown that left the Hulkster bloodied, and the Hulkamaniacs in tears. Reigns would then shake the hand of Heenan who grabbed a mic.

Heenan: Hogan, you and all your fellow egomaniacs brought this on yourself. You pat yourself on the back for meeting all those make-a-wish kids that have been battling cancer - but this man Roman Reigns actually knows what it's like to go through that disease, and still you fans choose Hogan over him. And you've been happy to let that happen, Hogan. Well no more. This man is now my new client and he is the man I've yearned for all these years. The man to finally take down Hulkamania once and for all.

Reigns: The Brain made me realise you've been holding me back all this time, Hogan. You were never my friend. And at Grapplemania, the Big Dog is going to become the Top Dog. Believe that.

    Our World Tag Team Champions...

Farooq and Bradshaw quickly gained the tag belts when they arrived in the company and have seen off all challengers, earning a big fan following in the process with their hard-hitting style.

In recent months, however, another team has arrived on the scene, who have earned just as big a following with their own uncompromising style of wrestling...
    The Steiner Brothers

    hqdefault.jpg
With the emergence of Rick and Scott Steiner, the stage is set for a dream match that many are calling the most physical tag team bout the company has ever seen.

Both the APA and the Steiner Bros. are fan favourites but only one can take home the gold. Which team will it be?
    The King of the Ring

    throne.jpg
For the past number of weeks, the promotion has been running a King of the Ring tournament with the final set to take place on the PPV. Fittingly, the two finalists are the two kings of the company: King Booker - whose outlandish antics have made him a fan favourite - and Jerry 'The King' Lawler, who has turned on the fans and aligned himself with Bobby Heenan's stable.

    hqdefault.jpg

Both men have been feuding in the weeks leading up to the PPV with both vowing to prove themselves the ultimate king of wrestling. The winner of the match has been promised a title match at a later date so the stakes are high. Who will prevail?

    The Intercontinental Champion

    honkytonkman.jpg
Honky Tonk Man claimed the title for the Heenan family in an over-the-rope battle royal, eliminating his partner from Rhythm and Blues, Greg Valentine, last to take the gold. There has been bickering between the partners over that but they are seemingly for now on the same page again. However, Honky Tonk Man has an even bigger problem as a fellow Heenan Family member has set his sights on the title...
    'Ravishing' Rick Rude

    ravishing1.jpg
This has understandably caused tensions within the stable as Rick Rude has made it clear to Heenan he wants the belt and won't accept anything less. Heenan has been left desperately trying to convince Honky Tonk Man and Rude to remember the most important thing is to keep the title within the Family, as there is a legendary figure also after the gold...
    Ricky 'The Dragon' Steamboat

    MV5BZjAzYjViNjUtMTdjZS00NDU5LWE2NWMtODVjMjNkN2UyYjk0XkEyXkFqcGdeQXVyNzU1NzE3NTg@._V1_CR0,45,480,270_AL_UX477_CR0,0,477,268_AL_.jpg
Steamboat, responding to Heenan's taunts that he has no one in his corner, said he'd have the thousands of fans in attendance. Steamboat also thinks he can capitalise on the Heenan family fractures.

It will be a triple threat match for the title at Grapplemania in what is being billed as the battle of the IC Champ legends, but will Honky Tonk Man, Rick Rude or Ricky Steamboat leave with the strap?

    The Arab-Americans

    hqdefault.jpg
Not even the Heenan Family can bring themselves to associate with Muhamman Hassan and Daivari, who have incensed the American fans by questioning the actions of American's foreign policy, and why they elected a character like Donald Trump as their President, a man so lacking in morals he's even willing to work with the BWA. When Hassan and Daivari threatened to throw the US flag in the trash as a symbol of how Americans are trashing what the flag should represent, a duo could take no more...
Sgt. Slaughter and 'Hacksaw' Jim Duggan

    hacksawsgtslaughter.jpg
Slaughter and Duggan have thus challenged Hassan and Daivari to a flag match at Grapplemania, and the Arab-Americans have accepted - but if Slaughter and Duggan lose then Hassan and Daivari have vowed to bin 'Old Glory' live on PPV. Which team will win on the night?

    The US Champion

    b0847d217282adf3963e6561fc54841e.jpg
Barry Windham is our US Champ, and as noted above there has been concern on the part of Heenan at the growing connection between Windham and the fans.

Windham has gradually been winning over increasing numbers of admirers with his great matches and cocky attitude, not to mention an ability to confront Heenan on occasion, most recently telling him he does not want him at ringside for his match with a legendary opponent...
    Misawa

    mitsuharu-misawa-death.jpg
Misawa has challenged Windham for the title in what has been branded a dream bout, and has asked Barry to leave his manager far away from ringside. To Heenan's astonishment, Windham agreed to the request. Now the stage is set for a match that could well steal the show. Which of these icons will leave with the gold?

    Also at Grapplemania...

Our General Manager, Kevin Sullivan, has revealed that Grapplemania will see the much awaited season debut of Stacy Keibler, but what does she have in store? When asked by reporters on her plans, she simply replied, 'watch this space'.
    stacy-keibler-600x338.jpg

A look at the card for Monday Night Grappling: Grapplemania:

    Main Event
    World Heavyweight Championship
Hulk Hogan (c) vs Roman Reigns w/Bobby Heenan

    Intercontinental Championship
Honky Tonk Man (c) (w/Greg Valentine) vs Rick Rude (w/Bobby Heenan) vs Ricky Steamboat

    World Tag Team Titles
The APA (c) vs The Steiner Bros.

    King of the Ring Final
King Booker w/Sharmell vs Jerry 'The King' Lawler w/Bobby Heenan

    Flag Match
If the Arab-Americans win they will trash the US flag
Muhammad Hassan & Daivari vs Sgt. Slaughter & 'Hacksaw' Jim Duggan

    United States Championship
    Barry Windham (c) vs Misawa

...plus the season debut of Stacy Keibler!

We sign off with our official song for Grapplemania:

Welcome to the preview for the biggest event in the BWA calendar year
    FQ1SDar.png

16 new promotions have been formed after the dissolution of the traditional powerhouses in sports entertainment all of which were looking for their own edge to make them the premier wrestling provider. Some went the hardcore route, some adopted the Puroresu approach, while others tried to recreate the attitude era. Perhaps it was naivety, perhaps hubris but the chairman of the BWA (Bounty Hunter) thought he knew how to make it so that his product was the one that incorporated a little bit of everything under one roof, but he also knew his plan would not go smoothly.

    Why?

Well because it saw him bring back to the world of wrestling the one and only former Chairman of the WWE Vince McMahon!

You could hardly blame him for going for the tried and tested route to success and bringing in the man who masterminded the destruction of the wrestling territories before defeating WCW in the Monday night wars... except Bounty Hunter had heard the criticism of McMahon in recent years and fearing that perhaps the Wrestling Observers best booker & Promoter from 1999/2000 was losing touch with the youth of today and what modern wrestling fans wanted, he decided to pair him with a younger, more dynamic counterpart in the form of the former Executive Vice President of AEW Cody Rhodes!
    cody-vince-696x392.jpg

McMahon in particular was not happy to find out that he would be sharing power in the BWA and although the roster they put together was arguably the best of all the promotions in this years draft it was very easy to see which wrestlers each had recruited during the draft process. McMahon had his big beefy boys like The Ultimate Warrior, Lex Luger and John Cena who all had big runs in his former promotion while Cody has leaned more towards his family (Dusty/Goldust) or generally those without huge WWE/F ties (Tanahashi, Aja etc).

These wrestlers clearly had their own loyalties to the men who brought them in as well and the divisions in the roster were clear for all to see as was the deterioration of the relationship between Vince and Cody. Many would argue that Rhodes already held some resentment from how he departed the former WWE chairmans old promotion and his time as Stardust, others believed that his refusal to discuss trades before executing them (in particular trading away WCW Icon Sting) was a major blow to their working relationship and some even suggested it was Vince's recruitment of people like The Ultimate Warrior who made incredulous comments in the past that Cody strenuously disagreed with that lead to things coming to a head between the two. Obviously they did not help, nor did the amount of money Vince spent recruiting his half of the roster
    xHtkIgk.png

The Company Vince began to keep backstage probably didn't help things either with none other than the 45th President of the United States Donald Trump stopping by on several occasions. It was during one such visit that the world was treated to the return of Goldust's (although that was only revealed later) GTV hidden camera segments including one where the two of them were making lewd comments about Cody's wife but suggesting that he (Cody) was at least doing better for himself than his father ever did whilst referencing Sapphire (the woman Vince paired Polka Dotted Dusty with) and then making fun of his moniker "The American Dream" saying that it was low standards like that that made it so that Trump had to make America Great Again and proclaiming Lex Luger to be his idea of a real American Dream.

This was not the only time GTV backstage footage made an appearance and almost every time it was Vince and his cohorts being caught in the act of something dodgy backstage that was being shown. Cody tried to ignore this behavior and do his utmost to make the best of his power sharing situation but every time another one of these segments aired Superstar Billy Graham would come running up to him trying to curry favor by reporting on McMahon and bad mouthing him at ever possible opportunity.

A man like Cody had shown in the past (Stardust) that he can take a lot without lashing out but eventually McMahon's behavior and in particular his derogatory words towards Cody's brother and father were just too much and what started as a heartfelt promo where he talked about why his father donned the Black and Yellow - "He did it to feed his family. He did it to provide his family a roof, groceries, education, transportation, he did it because he wasn't a goddamn petty B@stard like you Vince!... turned into an epic in ring rant from which there was no going back. He tore Vince to shreds mentioning everything from The Steroid scandal, how many wrestlers were on Cocaine and other drugs under Vince's watch in the WWF, ring boy / female employee accusations of sexual assault before rounding it all off by accusing of him of covering up Nancy Argentino's death and telling him "You're an out of touch Carny f*ck!".

As one would expect Vince wasn't going to just take that and blew his lid himself and the two began to brawl in the ring before they eventually had to be separated by their respective sides of the roster. Perhaps unsurprisingly these two no longer felt they could even begrudgingly work together and in true wrestling fashion it was decided that the only way to decide who would run the show moving forward would be with a match. Cody laid the challenge down for McMahon to face him at Wrestlepalooza with the winner taking control and Vince accepted on one condition, that the match be NO HOLDS BARRED!

...Let's re-wind a little however as before the people pulling the strings went at each other physically they were tasked with putting together the BWA's biggest show of the year which this year will once again be emanating from Michigan Stadium, nicknamed "The Big House" with it's Record attendance: 115,109 (although technically that was exceeded by the attendence at last years BWA's Wrestlepalooza PPV) and now we will focus on their plans for the BWA World Championship and other titles
    21b8d2d069bb6debee52eee741ea69ab.jpg

Vinnie Mac The self proclaimed "Genetic Jackhammer" tried to take center stage once more upon his arrival in the promotion as he announced he was stripping all former BWA champions of their titles saying that it would be a fresh start for the promotion. He wasn't shy in saying who he envisioned as his new champions and faces of the BWA either naming 1 The Ultimate Warrior, 2Lex Luger and 3 John Cena.

1.With The Ultimate Warrior he cited the Warrior award he had put in place in the WWE which he stated was for those who have "exhibited unwavering strength and perseverance, and who lives life with the courage and compassion that embodies the indomitable spirit of the Ultimate Warrior." He then called him the greatest Intercontinental champion of all time.
Cody however finds the idea that the warrior award was ever even made given some of bigoted statements the man has come out with in the past incredible but more importantly states that nobody should be just handed a title in the BWA. However instead of a my way or the highway approach which he believed will not work with McMahon he suggests an alternative option, an Intercontinental title tournament! This way McMahon can give Warrior a chance to prove him correct and himself the greatest IC champ of all time by winning a competition which will only be open to wrestlers who have won the Intercontinental championship at least 2 times before, like the warrior himself.

McMahon agreed to this and that each man would get to pick 2 competitors, the tournament brackets can be seen below and Spoiler alert ( :Pac: ) so can the other competitors but their match ups will be explained further later.
    WEqmsr4.png

    2. With Lex Luger McMahon talked him up by agreeing with his good friend Donald Trump, saying that he should not only be the face of the BWA but of the entire country. He even went as far as to announce that each week in the build up to Wrestlepalooza VII, the promotions flagship show BWA Monday Night Raw would be emanating from a different stop on Donald Trumps 2020 "Keep America Great" Tour and that the Donald would be travelling to and from his rallies with The True "American Dream" Luger in none other than the Lex Express.
    tumblr_p9ptmgd4aI1r7dh6wo1_400.gifv
Cody does address how McMahon continues to get his digs on on his father and gets quite emotional when talking about how his dad Dusty Rhodes epitomized the American dream. He talked about how "the son of a plumber" did not have a typical wrestler's physique as far as Mr McMahon was concerned and perhaps he did look more like a "common man" than the narcissist Luger but that despite this he had worked harder than anyone else in the industry and became a star, nay a Legend. That Cody said was the real American Dream and then he shocked everyone in the arena by introducing Dusty who made his way out from the back and not only got a standing ovation from the crowd but also challenged Luger to a match at Wrestlepalooza!

3.Finally he came to John Cena, the man Vince said was the last true superstar in professional wrestler, the last real needle mover and the man who he plans on crowning the world champion so as to break Ric Flair's record as a 17 time world champion proving that not only is he the greatest but that the BWA (or "My promotion" as Vince refers to it) has the champion of all champions in it, leading the way! He then introduces Cena who after an initial welcome to the BWA pop gets his usual mixed response including "Let's go Cena, Cena Sucks" chants

Cena comes out and acknowledges the boos, even saying that it's the fans right to boo them but says they shouldn't boo McMahon. No matter how much of a crazy Ol B*stard he is the man shows Hustle, Loyalty and Respect more than anyone of them could ever know. He says that Vince is the hardest working man their industry has ever seen, that he has shown incredible loyalty to the people who were loyal and hustled for him and that he (Cena) could not respect him anymore for all he has done for Pro Wrestling. He also says that he couldn't agree with him more about one thing, that...."The Champ is Here!"

So without further adieu Mr McMahon produces a satchel from which he pulls out a title belt, and not just any, it's the Spinner Belt! It's at this point that the fans (who previously were unsure how to react to Cena bigging up McMahon) begin to boo! Vince then begins to address Cena but before he can make any kind of presentation McMahon is of course interrupted by his former AEW counterpart Cody Rhodes!
Given that the Dr of Thugomonics is standing right in front of him in the ring Cody speaks directly to him and says that a man of Cena's stature should understand what it means to earn your place in a promotion and to fight for what is theirs and the right to call themselves the best and re-iterates to Cena his belief that nobody should be just handed a title in the BWA, especially not when we already have a BWA World Champion!

This takes the leader of the Cenation a moment to process but Cody elaborates further reminding him and everyone that although it's been a few years since the BWA won the draft that this promotion was leading the way long before John Cena or Vince McMahon arrived on the scene and that just like in that draft winning years main event, last years BWA Roster was lead by a global superstar and one he (Cody) was happy to welcome back to the company...

Hiroshi Tanahashi's music hits and out comes the man who despite Mr McMahon trying to reboot the company in his own image brings with him the original (non new spinner design) BWA World championship. The two (Tanahashi/Cena) have a staredown after which Tanahashi cuts a promo in very simple English (he has been in the promotion long enough that it's no bother now) that cuts straight to the point while borrowing liberally from the man standing opposite him in the ring.
John... For Years people have called me "The John Cena of Japan" so I know these people are not serious when they tell you you can't wrestle (Small you can't wrestle chants break out as Hiroshi smirks before continuing) because you don't get to have won a record number of championships, be they my IWGP heavyweight championship record or yours without being good in the ring but you need to know something... big pause... I am better than you!

Actually let me put this in words you would understand, You can see me, (lifts up his BWA title) the champ is here, so if you wants some come get some!

He then drops the Mic and turns to leave the ring.

But before he can an enraged looking Cena grabs his arm, turns him around and at great speed hits him with an Attitude Adjustment. Then the last image of the night with the show going off the air is Cena holding aloft the spinner version of the BWA title and stating aloud "Your time is up, my time is now".

From that point on it was clear that these two were on a collison course for this years Wrestlepalooza but we will return to their story again briefly later...
    9ab4d21f71461cc8-600x338.jpg

It should come as no surprise that McMahon & Cody once again disagreed with who should lead the way in the tag and womens divisions but some might find it odd that NWA/WCW alumni The Fabulous Freebirds were Vinces choice when the Rhodes family historically had long standing links to those promotions but Michael Hayes and Vince were tight and Ol Vinnie Mac was bustin a move to badstreet USA with the men he called his next BWA tag champions when they were interrupted by (Cody's choice) a team we later found out would challenge them for said tag titles and a team Vince had previous with... Demolition!

Demolition remind the world that their reign with the WWF World Tag Team Championship was the longest reign any team ever had with the tag team championship in WWE history until 1 thing happened... they sued Vince! Then Vince handed that claim to fame to another team but now they were here in the BWA to prove a point to Vince and to everyone, that they were still the best team in the world!

Meanwhile as far as the women were concerned Vince and Cody actually believed they were on the same page for once!

    ...How wrong they were :pac:

This was due to the fact that Cody was once again using the NJPW terminology and suggesting they have an ace in their womens division and that he had lined up someone he thought Vince would approve of because it was someone that he once brought into his own federation to challenge for his top female prize that along the way eliminated all her competition for that spot. This pleased McMahon who thought Cody was talking about the same person he too had contacted about fighting in the BWA this year and the person who debuted unexpectedly during his BWA Diva search recently.

The segment was going perfectly and Donald Trump who he had helping Judge it due to his Ms Universe experience was loving it. He had even whittled it down to a final 3 hotties in skimpy outfits after a ridiculous "Talent competition" when things took a turn during a "politics" themed round as the contestants were asked the question who is your favorite politician but the answers of Bernie Sanders and Michelle & Barak Obama lead to Trump rolling his eyes and McMahon giddily introducing his new ace of the womens division Shayna Baszler who proceeded to rag doll them before 1 by one making them tap out! What a debut she looked indestructible as the segment seemed like it was about to end with her posing on the ramp until someone grabbed her from behind and back suplexed her onto the ramp... it's Aja Kong!

Clearly Aja was who Cody had actually been talking about and the two were immediately set on a collision course for Wrestlapalooza with a lot of the highlight packages reminding people about their short stints in the WWE where Aja Kong eliminated every one of her opponents in a survivor series match by herself and Shayna did likewise in an elimination chamber match.
    UglyUnacceptableAiredaleterrier-max-1mb.gif

Elsewhere "Superstar" Billy Graham had kicked up his anti-McMahon agenda a notch after feeling his running to Cody telling him about Vince's antics was not getting the desired results and so he started his own podcast (the highlights of the weeks cast we were treated to on BWA Raw) on which he would moan about Vince's behavior, mostly focusing on his relationship with Donald Trump and how the BWA should not be giving so much air time to such a deplorable figure, especially not in an election year when the company should remain impartial so as not to alienate many of it's fans with politics.

He then started talking about how he had a buddy that was president of the united states but not wanting to be a hypocrite wasn't going to have him on his show. That said he kept bringing up this person and eluding to who it was while running down Trump & McMahon and after a while it became apparent that he was talking about former American President Barak Obama. Despite this clearly annoying McMahon & Trump the duo didn't believe Graham even knows Obama nor do they believe his claims which come later that Barak will show up on Raw in the build up to Wrestlepalooza. Instead they take the pis$ out of Superstar and Vince has his entrance theme changed to the following as a rib.

Billy Graham however is not the only BWA wrestler to hit the airways talking politics as Bob Backlund makes a number of advertisements aimed at Donald trump in an attempt to get him to make him his Vice-President! Backlund is incensed when he hears Graham say that Trump isn't half the president nor man that Barak Obama is and goes straight to Vince McMahon and demands a match vs Graham at Wrestlepalooza, he says he will shut up the anti-McMahon & anti-Trump rhetoric coming from The Superstar and prove to the president what a valuable asset he could be to him. McMahon happily books this match but even Vince is shocked when Trump after inviting Backlund to join himself and Luger on the Lex Express "Keep America Great" tour says that if Bob wins his match at the PPV will get his place on the ticket as Trumps VP!
    mdyga09.png

The BWA Raw that Graham claimed Obama would make an appearance on also turns out to be the show where the Wrestlepalooza contract signing for Lex Luger's match vs Dusty Rhodes is to be singed on. Dusty cuts a great promo on what it means to be an American in the modern world but finds himself interrupted by Vince McMahon who notes that the contract Dusty just signed is actually for a special guest referee match and that the referee would be none other than this man... as he introduces Donald Trump!

Luger, Trump (with Backlund by his side) all start laughing maniacally as Lex also signs the contract but there is one last Gotcha left as Cody informs them that they too did not read the contract close enough and introduces the man who he says will be the Special Guest ring enforcer... President Barak Obama! Shock but also a deafening POP follows and the crowd seem even more into it as he announces he will not only be involved in one Wrestlepalooza match as he says he will also be in the corner of his friend "Superstar" Billy Graham at the PPV!
Having just focused on Bob Backlund this BWA Wrestlepalooza preview takes a backstep for a moment and focuses on where Mr Backlund made his first appearance in the BWA this year and his first address to Donald Trump... on Adrian Adonis' talk show segment "The Flower Shop".

We are then shown some of the highlights of The Flower Shop in recent weeks including when Jerry Brisco on behalf of his boss Vince McMahon debuted the new BWA 24/7 championship which he claimed for himself only to have Yokozuna come out and destroy him and after a big Bonzai drop take the championship for himself.

In subsequent weeks some brave souls including Yoko's former Foreign Fanatic confidant Crush and Freebird member Buddy Roberts tried to catch the big man unawares and steal the title away for themselves but both men failed. Adonis actually then had them on his show to discuss this even quipping that if he had tried to take on Yoko instead of them he'd now be the champion. They also talked about two other matters however, first the on going Trump Vs Obama situation in the BWA on which both surprisingly agreed that they wanted to see Obama come out on top and then the fact that both mens' teams were also currently feuding over the tag titles. The latter matter lead to the segment ending in a brawl.

The following week however another "Flower Shop" segment took place but this time under the order of Vince McMahon. Host Adonis' guests were once again Crush & Buddy Roberts but this time they were joined by Jerry Brisco who initially seemed like he was there to represent Vince by informing everyone that the segment would not end in the same manner as last week again this week unless they wanted to anger the boss again. When Adonis questioned what he meant by again... Vince appeared on the Titantron to answer for himself! He said that they had all embarassed him on his own show, Cursh and Roberts with their political opinions and even Brisco with his horrible debuting of his (McMahon's) newest title. McMahon says they will pay for their actions, including Adonis who hosted the whole thing and that as a result of their foolishness at Wrestlepalooza they will have to go 1on1 with the monstrous Yokozuna!
    9BYiCMi.gif

Later Cody Rhodes both explains how 4 wrestlers can go 1on1 with Yoko but also ensure that the scales are somewhat balanced for these wrestlers who it seemed were being punished for simply having an opinion by making the match officially a Gauntlet match and stating that it would be the main event of the Wrestlepalooza BWA pre-show and that whoever survived it would walk out the BWA 24/7 champion.

    The IC Tournament competitors explained...

as eluded to earlier Cody had taken offense to the idea that The Ultimate Warrior was the greatest IC champ of all time but he was not the only Rhodes to do so, his brother Dustin Rhodes aka Goldust, a known supporter / advocate for LGBTQ rights as highlighted below was not a fan.
    uRFg3P8.png

He used the fact that Warriors personal feelings towards that community were out there for everyone to find (as shown here with his "
Queering doesn't make the world work" comments)

He used this knowledge to get under Warriors skin and using his own trademark style of mental warfar through provacative actions based at Warrior who simply did not know how to deal with Goldust. Would Warrior be able to overcome his own issues and defeat Goldust and prove Mr McMahon right that he is the Ultimate Intercontinental champion? or would Goldust be able to not only stand up for whats right but also prove his own might and advance to the final of this IC title tournament?

However if people thought McMahon backing Warrior was bad, they might want to take a seat before the full lengths he went to so that a "Cody Rhodes guy" didn't take home the gold here are fully exposed as Vince was heard quipping "nobodies Perfect" to his buddy Donald Trump while organizing a pardon for none other than Chris Benoit! Blaming CTE Trump seemingly found a way to justify this and suddenly the former WWE Chairman had his 2nd horse in this tournie race. Once again however this was someone that McMahon's counterpart Cody Rhodes strongly disagreed with saying that under no circumstances should Benoit be given a BWA contract beyond Wrestlepalooza (apparently Vince had already given him one for this match) and even made it a stip for his Semi-Final match up that if Benoit did in fact lose he would not only lose the match but also his 2nd chance at wrestling (his contract). Then finally while referencing Mr McMahon's "Nobodies perfect" comment he went out of his way to organize a trade to bring into the company for this particular match...
    "Mr Perfect" Curt Hennig
    source.gif

The recap show ends with a reminder of how the final show in the build to the PPV (the card of which is listed below) went down. Where all night rumors had been swirling about a John Cena heel turn. rumors which John himself addressed at the end of the night. It happened as Vince McMahon joined by Donald Trump found himself flanked by all his recruits to the company and choices to lead the brand forward including Lex Luger, The Ultimate Warrior, Chris Benoit and in the center of them all Cena himself who openly mocked the rumors saying he was the same man he had always been, that he wasn't going to turn to the dark side and be some sort of new bad version but that he would would become something new, the new BWA champion!

However standing directly opposite from them were Cody Rhodes with Barak Obama by his side as well as his father Dusty Rhodes and brother Goldust as well as Mr Perfect and in the middle of all of them Hiroshi Tanahashi who responds to Cena saying " John, you say you will never be the bad guy... look who you stand beside and realize... you already are the bad guy!" at which point all hell broke loose with everyone attacking each other only for security, masses and masses of security, to eventually separate them all while BWA officials remind them to save it for this Sunday and the announcers hype them finally settling things in the ring!

Although subject to change the following is the card for the biggest PPV of them all BWA Wrestlepalooza

    The Rise of Money Inc

In the aftermath of Marty Scurrl and CM Punk pulling off the ultimate heist at Natural Selection IV, they appeared just two nights later on Tuesday NIght Destruction. As they began to make their speech, a familiar music began to play

Ted Di Biase and his longtime friend Irwin R. Schyster would come to the ring and shake hands with Punk and Scurrl. Scurrl took a final look at the NCW Championship - and handed it to DiBiase before both Punk and Scurrl would leave NCW for good.

“Ted DiBiase has just purchased the NCW World Championship!”

Outraged by this, Necro threw the kitchen sink at Di Biase who had in his opinion - devalued the title. He drafted and signed the notorious Beer Money Inc and scheduled Roode for a championship match with DiBiase and even scheduled himself as the guest referee.

But everyone has a price for the Million Dollar Man - a recurring theme in this preview show.

    tenor.gif?itemid=7784962

Roode would drop Necro with the Glorious DDT, and shake hands with DiBiase. Storm and IRS came down and all four raised their arms over the fallen owner.
    Beer Money Inc. was born.

The very next night it would be revealed that DiBiase had even bought the Board of Directors. With Necro on the shelf due to injuries sustained at the hands of Roode - IRS would become the Interim General Manager in his absence. IRS would continue to protect DiBiase and his word championship, and quickly engineered Storm and Roode into a match where they captured the NCW Tag Team Championships.

And it continues to this very day - though Necro would not go quietly into the night…
Upon his return in January, Necro unveiled a raft of new signings - returnees to NCW from their inaugural year.

Jeff Hardy - the man so cruelly robbed after the main event on Natural Selection would return and vow to right the wrongs inflicted on him in the past.

    giphy.gif

DiBiase agreed to a title match at Natural Selection - IF Hardy could overcome all of Beer Money Inc in a gruelling gauntlet match.

Hardy would dispatch IRS after a hellacious battle but DiBiase had more tricks up his sleeve.

    GranularCoarseGreatargus-size_restricted.gif

Beer Money would enter together and the second part of the gauntlet became a handicap match.

The beating inflicted on Hardy would overwhelm most normal men - but Hardy somehow battled back, proving his Enigma moniker to be true and scoring a victory over Roode via roll-up.

Storm would have the final say though and smashed a beer bottle over the head of Hardy, leaving him broken and bleeding in the ring as DiBiase sauntered to the ring.

    roodetitle1.gif

In scenes reminiscent of Natural Selection 1, DiBiase applied the Million Dollar Dream and it seemed Hardy would fall at the final hurdle once more.
Again though - Hardy would not be denied on this night. He countered the Dream sending DiBiase head first into the turnbuckles before dropping him with a Twist of Fate.

He ascended high into the heavens and looked for the Swanton Bomb on the champion - but would be shoved from the top turnbuckle to the floor outside by a familiar face.. the man he had bested years ago - Andre The Giant.

Andre continued the beating on the outside and pulverised Hardy, slamming him through both announce tables before delivering his signature double arm suplex directly onto the steel steps.

Andre left Hardy a broken mess on the outside as the referee disqualified DiBiase, awarding the match to Hardy - but at what cost?

Hardy still bears the scars of this match, his ribs and back heavily taped as he heads into the biggest match of his career.

Can Hardy overcome the odds once more and finally, finally regain his NCW crown? He had better, because if he loses - Necro will be forced to leave NCW - forever.

    The Beast VS The Giant

Andre The Giant as we have seen has already had some impact as part of Money Inc - but his attentions have been quickly diverted with the arrival of NCW’s flagship signing - Brock Lesnar along with his ‘advocate’ Paul Heyman.
Heyman would cut a typical promo upon their arrival:

    source.gif

“Ladies and Gentleman… my name - is Paul Heyman. And I am the advocate for a former 8 time WWE Heavyweight Champion, a former UFC Heavyweight Champion, a two time NCAA All American, the Conqueror of The Streak, the Beast Incarnate - Brrrockkk LesssNarr!

And we are here in NCW - not for titles. No no no. Ted DiBiase you can put on a clean pair of panties and clutch your precious paper title - Brock doesn’t give a damn about you. Brock is here in NCW for one thing - and one thing only.
Prizefighting. Making the most money and getting the hell out of this stinking cesspit of a company as fast as possible. The hick fans from boards.ie and the drunken Irish owner Necro can go to hell.

There is only one fight that Brock Lesnar wants. One man that could possibly compare to Brock Lesnar in the history of this business. One man that makes Brock Lesnar sit up and pay attention.

And that man is… Andre The Giant! A legend, revered around the world and spoken in the highest of regard. Brock Lesnar doesn’t care about that - no. Brock Lesnar wants to fight you Andre to show that Giants are NOTHING when it comes to Beasts.

There is only one lion in this jungle Andre The Giant and that is Brock Lesnar. He will suplex you. He will F-5 you. He will break you body and mind and make you the newest sacrifice on the altar of the Beast Incarnate. He will SLAY the Giant.

Consider yourself honoured Andre - Brock Lesnar does not normally issue challenges. But you are the exception to the rule. The Giant VS The Beast - at Natural Selection - Brock Lesnar VS Andre The Giant!!”

Andre would answer that challenge almost immediately, coming to the ring to staredown The Beast directly.

    Brock-Lesnar-vs.-Andre-the-Giant.png

And at Natural Selection, this dream match will become a reality.
Beast and Giant collide - who will be victorious?

The Show Off makes an Impact

When Dolph Ziggler was traded to NCW there wasn’t much hullabaloo about it. It barely grabbed people’s attention in fact. Yet Ziggler would appear around the same time as Floyd Mayweather, and the two immediately hit it off, exchanging friendly tweets about ‘Money’s’ impending arrival in NCW.

Announced as the host of Natural Selection V, Mayweather came to an episode of Destruction with his full entourage in tow. The crowd were not exactly enamoured with his presence as he hyped the pinnacle of NCW’s calendar year.
Ziggler would come to the ring to greet his new friend, shaking hands in the ring as Ziggler hinted to Mayweather how to make the card better by letting The Show Off into the NCW Heavyweight Championship match.

Mayweather said he would think about it, and asked for Ziggler to ‘Show Off’ his skills in a match for the Rising Star Championship against Kerry Von Erich that very night.

This was granted by Necro but Von Erich would be the fly in Ziggler’s ointment, scoring another impressive victory (number 4 of a required 5) and continuing his dominance as champion.

Mayweather was watching on at ringside and got into the ring to console the self proclaimed ‘Show Off’ in the aftermath. He had a mic and told a forlorn Ziggler that his title match was ‘never gonna happen', and tossed some money down to Ziggler.

    giphy.gif

Ziggler, incensed by this got to his feet and as Mayweather turned around, he blasted the undefeated boxer with a massive superkick right onto his jaw - flattening Mayweather onto the canvas.

    source.gif

Mayweather was down and out, and bedlam ensued as his entourage rushed the ring trying to get to Ziggler, who beat a quick exit. Mayweather stayed down and out for what seemed an eternity on the canvas, certainly longer than the 10 seconds required in a boxing match.

Ziggler would come out the following week with renewed vigour, stating that he had taken down the unbeaten Mayweather and he was the only person alive that had that knocked out Floyd Mayweather.

The trash talk would ensue for weeks before Mayweather finally returned to Destruction and challenged Ziggler to a match at Natural Selection.

The undefeated boxer will step between the ropes for a No Holds Barred match against The Show Off in a clash that is sure to be fiery and brutal.

    An Outlaw Problem

Meanwhile the World Tag Team Champions have their own problems, coming in the form of The New Age Outlaws. Having held Tag Team Gold in NCW before and all around the globe, the experienced hands proved a difficult challenge at the previous PPV, NCW Agony.

But for the intervention of IRS, Roode and Storm would have lost the titles but with a sneaky chair shot to Road Dogg it allowed Roode to hit a Glorious DDT and Beer Money Inc ended the undefeated streak of the Outlaws in NCW.

Gunn and Road Dogg demanded a rematch two nights later but once again through IRS Roode and Storm retained.

Necro chose this moment to come to the stage for the first time since he had been beaten down by Roode and Storm months prior.

He announced a final rematch would take place at Natural Selection - an elimination Dumpster Match with the losers leaving NCW for good. IRS interjected and added himself to the match, stacking the odds against the Outlaws

But Necro was not done. He agreed that the tag team titles would still be defended - but it would be a Six Man Elimination Dumpster Match and revealed The Outlaws partner…

Chuck Palumbo chose this moment to make his mark and left IRS laying with a huge superkick. Gunn looked on in shock as his former partner ‘Chucky’ now joined with his current one Road Dogg to stand tall.

    Dance%2B4.gif

Who will reign supreme at Natural Selection - and who will be taken out with the trash?

    Best of Frenemies?

When Tessa Blanchard joined NCW and wiped out Michelle McCool, capturing the NCW Women’s Championship on her very first night, nobody expected the utter dominance she would reign with over the division.

One by one she took out her challengers and laid down a marker in each of her defenses. Yet after a very vocal outburst on Twitter, it caused a firestorm of controversy that NCW executives deemed unacceptable. Amidst accusations of racism and bullying. Blanchard was suspended until further notice.

    EOBPiFOWsAE4EGf.jpg

With the Women’s Championship now vacant, the world was stunned when in Necro’s absence, IRS hired one of Blanchard’s main accusers Chelsea Green and handed her the title.

The crowd was uneasy with this, the new champion having not earned her spot and seemingly used as a publicity stunt to appease the critics of Blanchard.
Green battled her way to a count-out victory over Brooke Tessmacher and again the restlessness of the crowd was shown.

When she deliberately got herself disqualified to retain against veteran Victoria the restlessness turned to outright hatred. The following week both Tessmacher and Victoria cornered the new champion and delivered a beatdown of epic proportions to the ‘paper’ champion.

And it was amazingly at this moment that Blanchard chose to return, fighting off Victoria and leaving Tessmacher laying as the crowd chanted for Blanchard once more.

Blanchard offered a hand of reconciliation to Green - but was returned with a cheap shot and a faceplant onto the women’s title belt - insult to injury to be taken out with the title she never lost.

Necro acted quickly and made the match official - Green would defend her title at Natural Selection against not one, not two, but three opponents in a Fatal Four Way match at Natural Selection.

Can Blanchard regain what she never actually lost? Or will Green prove them all wrong. Can the veteran Victoria add another title to her glittering cabinet, or what of Tessmacher - surely the team mates will form an alliance to take out the competition.

    One Step Away

Upon arriving in NCW, Kerry Von Erich has cut through his opposition with ruthless efficiency. The Texas Tornado first captured the Rising Star Championship back in October, and since has notched up four of the required five title defences needed to trigger an automatic title shot for the NCW Heavyweight Championship.

One of his earlier defences saw a four minute squash match against Chris Kanyon, who since that moment has proved to be a thorn in Von Erich’s side, repeatedly involving himself in matches and backstage segments and campaigning for a rematch.

On the other side of the encounter we have the mysterious - 'Sinister' Sean O’Haire - who has only appeared in brief vignettes posing questions to Von Erich and indeed a number of other superstars. O'Haire has taken to dressing very like Joaquin Phoenix's version of Joker, and laughing incontrollably in his segments

    giphy.gif

That was, until Agony. Von Erich had just completed his third defence, dispatching IRS with clinical ease when the lights went out.

The sinister O’Haire struck with the aid of Kanyon, and delivered a devastating Death Valley Driver to the Rising Star Champion.

    85ec92a41dcda927092d9664fbda360eba13bd6d.gifv

O’Haire appeared on other episodes of Destruction, always in the dark and always mocking Von Erich.

But the time for talk is almost over as Sean O’Haire will have to back up his talk when he takes on Von Erich with the gold on the line.

Von Erich has vowed that after he has dealt with O’Haire he will insert himself into the main event and capture the Heavyweight Championship - but the danger is that the Texas Tornado is looking beyond the significant danger O’Haire represents to his title reign - particularly with his long term adversary Kanyon in his corner.

NCW Natural Selection V - Completed Line Up:

NCW Heavyweight Championship: Ted Di Biase (c) VS Jeff Hardy
The Beast VS The Giant: Brock Lesnar w/Paul Heyman VS Andre The Giant

MWA WrestleRama VII - The Preview

    hhh-stephanie-2-640x575.jpg

Last year’s MWA WrestleRama saw Daniel Bryan retain his Championship, embarrass the US President and solidify his spot at the top of the company. This wave of momentum did not last long. With Trump out a new leader stepped in. This leader had it all; business acumen, wrestling royalty, drive, initiative and enough creativity to lead MWA to the top of Pro Wrestling Boards worldwide. At least, that’s what she proclaimed. Stephanie McMahon had a history with Bryan and there’s no way she was letting her new promotion be led by a “B+ player”. Triple H announced his arrival with a brutal car park assault on Bryan – the next week it was announced that the World Champion had run with his tail between his legs due to fear of facing the Cerebral Assassin once more. Of course, this was a lie, Bryan was stripped of the title by Stephanie & fired following a heated argument. He surfaced elsewhere but this article isn’t about the former MWA World Champion, this article is about the greatest wrestling event on the calendar being taken over by two warring factions.
    20190530_top10--42a9843ecdd204ddab74ea2a9ccc8e87.jpg

Triple H was awarded the World Championship on an episode of Supremacy; it was then that he proclaimed himself to be a fighting champion willing to battle all competitors. The first? The World’s Most Dangerous Man Ken Shamrock. HHH beat Shamrock in 5 seconds, as Ken dropped to the mat immediately and let HHH pin him. For weeks Stephanie would go through the charade of deciding new challengers only to pick former allies in Shamrock, Big Bossman and worst of all Randy Orton. Orton’s arrival followed a huge amount of hype; he spent weeks cutting promos on HHH leading up to his debut and fans couldn’t wait to see the Legend Killer up close for the first time in MWA. Orton left the ring and got himself counted out – fans were livid; they ripped their tickets, threw food & drinks at the ring. #MWABoycott trended on Twitter and Stephanie had to act.

New signings were announced to bring fans back on board – Kota Ibushi made a long-awaited return to the company, The Young Bucks, MNM & The Brainbusters were signed to boost a flailing tag division. Biggest of all was Randy Savage. Tensions were high between him & HHH, fans regularly touted the alleged past between Savage & Stephanie. The two were set to face off when Savage was attacked by Orton, The Brainbusters, Shamrock & Bossman. This new faction, dubbed The Hunters, was set to assert Stephanie & HHH’s dominance over MWA.
    dZx4oOvw.jpg
Cue The BulletClub. When Finn Balor joined MWA, Stephanie thought she was signing a name that would keep their audience happy while posing no credible threat to her husband. She was very much mistaken. Balor had disgruntled allies within the company already, The Young Bucks had been trying and failing to get a shot at Tag Team Champions The Brainbusters for months. Arn & Tully had no respect for the “loud-mouth spot monkeys” and as part of The Hunters the Bucks had no way of fighting back. They readily accepted Balor’s offer of alliance once more. Jordan Devlin, reigning MWA Intercontinental Champion since WrestleRama VI, was trained by Balor. Devlin knew The Hunters would have him in their sights – he backed out of a handshake agreement with HHH when he realised he would be a bottom rung player for The Hunters, with no chance of ever getting the World Championship opportunity he craved. He too would join Balor’s rebuilt BulletClub. Their wildcard was the arrival of Switchblade Jay White; White was the leader of a BulletClub faction elsewhere and had the opportunity to form up with them once more but he opted for MWA & Balor.

The BulletClub made their alliance public when they crashed a Triple H Appreciation Ceremony, the attack was quick & effective as Triple H & Stephanie escaped through the crowd, looking back to see Balor on the turnbuckle staring them down. The BulletClub cleared the ring that night & proved to be a thorn in The Hunter’s side ever since.
    orton-savage-balor.jpg

With WrestleRama VII around the corner Randy Savage made his return. The BulletClub courted him, pitching The Hunters as a mutual enemy but Savage refused. He’d get his revenge, he’d take the World Title and he’d do it on his own terms. A three-way fight would ensue but Stephanie had a plan to ensure her husband’s reign. A #1 contender’s Triple Threat match was announced between Finn Balor, Randy Savage & Randy Orton, the winner facing Triple H at WrestleRama. However this match had a peculiar stipulation – victory could not be determined by Orton being pinned or submitted.

With Stephanie in Orton’s corner at ringside the odds were firmly stacked in his favour. During the match Stephanie got distracted by Savage’s wife Miss Elizabeth, during their row Stephanie slapped Elizabeth & caused Savage to fly into a rage. He attempted to drag Stephanie inside the ring, Orton intervened & Savage focused his attacks on him. Savage beat Orton down and started ripping at his ankle, trying to snap it. Orton was tapping but the match continued – Balor took advantage by clubbing Savage from behind and hitting a reverse Bloody Sunday Brainbuster. He pinned Savage and became the official #1 contender.

As the fight between BulletClub & The Hunters raged Balor played on HHH’s ego; claiming the so-called Cerebral Assassin was hiding behind his buddies because he knew Balor was the better fighter. The promo worked; Triple H told Stephanie to ban all members of The Hunters & The BulletClub from ringside. If any member from either side turned up the entire group would be fired. Both men signed the contracts in bizarre fashion to close out the final Supremacy; no brawl broke out, no elaborate promos took place. The two men just stood staring intensely at each other as the cameras went off the air.

Things weren’t so calm in the other fallout of the Triple Threat match; Savage & Orton blamed each other for missing out on the main event and took every opportunity going to attack each other. Car parks, restaurants, during matches – it really didn’t matter. Then the unthinkable happened. Randy Savage was fighting in a handicap steel cage match against Ken Shamrock & The Big Bossman when Randy Orton jumped the rails from the crowd and threw Miss Elizabeth to the ground. He lined up for a Punt Kick as people around him pleaded for him to stop. He began his run but was stopped in his tracks by Savage who jumped off the top of the cage landing on Orton. Security finally arrived while both men were down, Orton was escorted up the ramp as a hurt Savage checked on his wife. The following week Orton came to the ring to a torrent of boos before cutting a promo about how much he wanted to do it, that Savage awoke something dark in him and now that the Apex Predator has been unleashed there’s no way to stop the venom spreading. He vows to ruin Savage’s life and that when he does, nobody will be able to protect Miss Elizabeth. Savage says Orton will pay for what he attempted and that he only knows one way to kill a predator and that’s to make it his prey. The two will face off at WrestleRama inside a steel cage.

WRESTLERAMA VII – REST OF THE CARD

MWA Tag Team Championship Match – The Brainbusters © vs ????
As mentioned The Brainbusters have refused to give The Young Bucks a shot and as part of The Hunters they don’t need to. However they do intend on defending the gold at WrestleRama against one of four teams. At WrestleRama there will be a Fatal-4-Way Tag Team elimination match with the winner facing The Brainbusters later that night.

MWA INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP – KOTA IBUSHI VS JORDAN DEVLIN ©
Ibushi caused great upset in The Hunters when he defeated Ken Shamrock & Big Bossman in a Triple Threat match, so much so that the two men are no longer on speaking terms. Devlin is closing in on a year long title reign and will be desperate to hold onto his Championship at WrestleRama in what promises to be a potential match of the night. Ibushi is a former MWA Tag Team Champion but couldn’t prove his ability without Kenny Omega supporting him. Now that he’s finally gotten an opportunity for singles MWA glory he’s vowed not to let it slip.

MWA WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP – TONI STORM VS CANDICE LERAE
Two extremely talented women face-off for the vacant Women’s Championship. Stephanie McMahon reportedly didn’t want to sign any female wrestlers this year as she didn’t want to take any attention away from herself but thankfully reason prevailed and we now have a highly anticipated battle awaiting us.

    JAY WHITE VS KEN SHAMROCK
Both men are viewed as the wildcards or their respective factions. Shamrock has been in MWA before and proved to be unstable & violent. Given his fallout with long-time partner Big Bossman it doesn’t appear as if he’s been seeing a therapist in the intervening years. White was a shock arrival at MWA, as mentioned he had offers elsewhere yet chose to join up with Balor’s BulletClub. Used to leading, following has been particularly difficult for White and he has been causing issues in BulletClub for months. Rowing with members, he has a keen dislike of Devlin, has been showboating & single minded in tag team matches and clearly disrespects Balor’s authority as the group leader. A match between these two men almost writes itself – they both have a lot to prove to themselves & their allies, they’re both very dangerous in the ring and are both willing to completely ignore the rules to gain an advantage.

#1 CONTENDER’S FATAL 4 WAY TAG TEAM ELIMINATION – THE YOUNG BUCKS VS MNM VS GARZA & CARRILLO VS RIKISHI & SCOTTY TOO HOTTY
While much of the focus has been on The Young Bucks quest for a Tag Title opportunity it would be a disservice to the other teams in this match to not mention them.

John Morrison & Joey Mercury have had success everywhere they've been and few thought MWA would be any different. Alas the two have struggled since joining; Morrison has history as a singles star and resuming the tag team life has been a difficult adjustment. This isn't helped by Mercury's past alliance with Triple H & Stephanie who many suspect have recruited him once more. Can MNM overcome such a conflict of interests?

Garza & Carrillo are looking to cause a huge upset by winning this match but only a fool would bet against the underdog cousins doing just that. They can possibly rival the Bucks for quickness, they're technically proficient luchadors and with a slice of luck might just end up facing The Brainbusters.

Everyone thinks Rikishi & Scotty are just here to have fun but recent weeks have shown Rikishi encouraging Scotty to be more ruthless in attack. Boasting by far the largest competitor in this match, this team may prove too much to handle for the others.
