Opening a new account U18's

05.03.2019 09:46 #1
Hi Team,

My son is looking at opening a new account, he is 16. Does he still need the same ID and personal details as normal account to open?

If we opened an account with you;
  • does he pay any fees?
  • what benefits does KBC offer?
  • does he still get a debit card/atm card?
[*]

Thanks for help with this

Hi IJS85,

Thank you for your post.
We would require 2x proofs of ID and 2x proofs of address in order to open the account.

If you go into a KBC hub face to face to open the account we will only require 1x of each.

The KBC Teen Current Account comes with:
  • Free day to day banking
  • Free Internet and Mobile Banking Transactions
  • Free Contactless Payments when using your Debit Card for purchases in Euro
  • No quarterly fees for maintaining the account
[*]

There will also be a debit card provided  for the Teen Current Account and also have access to Apple, Google, Fitbit and Garmin Pay.

Should you have any further queries you can contact our account opening team on 1800 51 52 53 or +353 1 664 6666.

Thanks,
Aoife
