Hi Guys,

I am looking to confirm if the lodgement of 2500 to your extra current account has to be in one transaction monthly and if it is has to remain there, to avoid the transaction charges?

Thanks

I can answer this for you.

A total of 2500 has to be lodged into your account, this can be in multiple transactions. You could even transfer the same 500 in and out 5 times.

You do not need to maintain a balance of 2500 in the account.

Based on recent moves from PTSB and UB, I'm guessing this will change soon.

Good Morning janeybaby. Thanks for your message. With our Extra Current Account all you have to do is lodge €2,500 into your account each month and you’ll get free day to day banking and no quarterly fees for maintaining the account. You do not need to maintain the balance of €2,500 every month. Thanks RK

Have I understood this correctly; is it possible to have a savings account with KBC and transfer that 500 in and out of the current account five times to avoid the fees?

If I were to do that, are there maintenance or quarterly fees on the savings account?
