Smart metereing - rural night rate

Hi I'm just wondering the roll out of smart metering been undertaken by the ESB networks this year

If I do have one installed by esb network

Is it then possible to switch from 24 hour tariff to day and night rate in rural area

Any queries regarding the ESB Networks Smart meters should be directed to ESB Networks, as they would be in the best position to assist you.

Their contact information can be found online here.

However, the meter and rate can be changed before this has been installed. We recommend calling our colleagues in the Electric Ireland Customer Services team on 1850 372 372 from 8am to 8pm, Monday to Saturday. They would be in the best position to go through the exchange terms and conditions, as well as processing your request should you choose to change the meter.
