Who are we?

At SSE Airtricity, we’re proud to make a difference. Our job is to provide the energy people need in a reliable and sustainable way.
From small beginnings we’ve grown to become the second largest energy provider on the island of Ireland, supplying greener electricity and natural gas to around 800,000 homes and businesses.
In the Republic of Ireland we offer:
  • Gas and electricity supply for homes and businesses
  • Energy-related services for homes and businesses
  • Public lighting maintenance
Since 2008, our parent company SSE has invested over €2 billion, or around €1 million a day, in growing our energy business in Ireland – creating jobs, sustaining employment, driving competition and greening our economy. SSE is Ireland’s largest provider of wind power, with almost 550MW of renewable generation capacity. The green energy generated at our 25 wind farms across Ireland powers 300,000˄ Irish homes, significantly abating harmful Carbon Dioxide (CO2) emissions by around 725,000˄ tonnes. Just over 60% of the electricity we supply is generated from renewable energy sources† – almost twice the All-Island average.

How long will it take to solve my issue?

We always try to provide a solution as quickly as possible, however, some queries may take longer to resolve than others, as we may need to contact other areas of our business. In these cases, we will keep in regular contact with you throughout the process.

For some queries, we will require additional information about your account so that we can investigate further. On such occasions, and to protect your privacy and account information, we’ll ask you to send us a private message.

In order to help you as quickly as possible in these instances, we ask that:
- You have your account number to hand so that we can find your details promptly
- Only the account holder contacts us, to ensure data protection

What will we do with your feedback?

We’ll listen to your feedback and will take action. This way we can continually improve and provide a better service for you.
