Cabin/Stateroom             that’s your room on the ship, just like an hotel room it’s ensuite

Inside cabin                        cabin with no natural light

Balcony cabin                     cabin with your own private balcony, just like an hotel room.

Dress code                          applies to night time dining only in the main dining room only
Formal wear                       cocktail dress for ladies, shirt and jacket for men, ties are generally not required.
Casual wear                        day time clothes, whatever you wear on holidays at the pool or around the hotel
Early or late dining           early dinning is usually 6 or 6:30pm, late is usually 8 or 8:30pm
Gratuities                            Tips – which can be pre-paid if you wish
Cashless on board           you don’t pay for anything on board ship in cash. Any extras are charged to your room key/cabin key and billed to the credit card you have logged with the cruise company

What’s not included?
v  Tips which are from €9 per person per day
v  Drinks on board with drinks package from as little as €25 per person per day
v  Shore excursions but you can disembark for free in all destinations
v  Spa treatments such as massages or facials
What should I pack?
ü  Make sure you pack a change for dinner on night one, swimsuit, any medication and travel documents into your carry- on baggage. Your main suitcase can be late arriving to your cabin on embarkation day so instead of sitting waiting you can start your holiday as soon as you are on board!
ü  Know the dress code for your cruise itinerary – is it casual, are there formal nights?
ü  Make sure you dress for the destinations – Caribbean in summer will be hot, or Med in winter will be cooler keep these in mind
ü  What voltage and socket type it is on board the ship so bring adaptors as you would for Europe and the USA
ü  Comfortable walking shoes in case you opt to do any walking tours at your destinations ashore
ü  If you are doing Alaskan or Norwegian Fjords it’s always recommended to pack binoculars!
ü  Some ships offer tuxedo rental so if there is a black tie or formal night you can rent your suit
