We deliver excellent customer service for your day-to-day banking queries. We want to help AIB customers with account queries and everyone interested in AIB products.

It’s important to remember that this is an open forum and opinions posted by other users do not represent the views of or constitute advice from AIB. AIB Verified Account Representatives are clearly identified through their Avatar.

Providing information to AIB on

Your personal financial information is highly confidential. To protect your security you should never publish any of your personal financial information onto this forum, in particular your account information and personal banking details.

For some queries, we may require additional information such as your name and contact details, so that we can investigate your query or contact you. On such occasions and to protect your privacy, please use the private message system (PM*) within In those cases we will also reply to you with a private message.

* The information you supply to AIB through the private message function will be held and used by us solely for the purpose of responding to your request and will not be retained for any other purpose.

AIB do not accept unsolicited PMs, all posts must start in a public thread.

How long will it take to answer my query?

This can vary depending on your query. We’ll try and provide a solution as quickly as possible while we are online during the hours of 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday. All posts outside of these hours will be addressed as soon as possible once we are back online. Some queries may take longer to resolve as we may need to contact colleagues in other areas of AIB, but we will let you know if that is the case.

We welcome any feedback you wish to raise through any AIB Social Media Channel. AIB have a complaints management process in place to deal with any complaints raised. You can go to Customer Feedback or AIB Contact Points.

What will we do with your feedback?

We’ll listen to your feedback and pass it onto the relevant management team. This way we can improve our service to you.

We expect all forum users to behave in a well-mannered and reasonable way at all times. Personal abuse will not be tolerated. Any comments that are deemed to be abusive will be removed and you may be banned from the AskAIB Customer Support Forum and .We would ask that you refrain (for privacy reasons) from using personal names of or information relating to any AIB staff member in public threads other than our Forum Staff. We are happy to take your feedback but the staff name will be removed from the public thread.

Please note that the team cannot answer every question immediately so you may need to be patient.

AIB have the ability to remove certain personal information that people may post; for example personal bank account numbers. Details of removed information will be reviewed by to ensure that the correct decision was made. Please address any questions on this issue to AIB via a Private Message.
