UPDATE: Well after getting the car checked over and getting what I think was a fair price I picked the car up over the weekend. I'm delighted with it, the comfort and pick-up are excellent and I'm very happy with it on first impressions
Exactly my thoughts too
Just a follow up on this. I went to see it last night and it is immaculate. Full Frank Keane service history with one previous owner. The dealer is checking today with Frank Keane about the timing chain and if it has been replaced. I'm taking it to my own mechanic tomorrow morning to get it checked
Thanks for the reply. What sort of money would you expect to pay for it?
Currently have an S60 that is on her last legs
Just wondering what the general opinion on the below car would be. I'm tempted to have a look at it this weekend but I'm unsure of the reliability issues I've read online. Any opinions would be appreciated. http://www.beechlawnmotors.ie/vehicles/bmw/5%20series/dublin/2357910
If you get 250 quid off that car from Bill you should negotiate Brexit
Thanks Johnny, that's great advice
Thanks, both I'm fine with. It's the maintenance I don't want to worry about
I'll be the first to admit I know know nothing about these but have always liked them. I'm currently in the market for a new car and see this. Could I get some opinions on what people think of this? Am I asking for trouble, and will it cost a fortune on maintenance? https://www.donedeal.ie/cars-for

I've heard that subprime loans are out there on car finance. Look OP, you want to borrow 8K, the cost of repairs will be a lot less than that so save up and get the repairs done and forget about getting more loans!
OP, judging from what you have said, you can't afford a new car on finance. It's not a good idea to borrow money and put yourself under strain when you already have a working car. Drive your current car until the wheels fall off
Is that price not a little strong for a 10 year old car?
