My post on EU261 compensation discussion are been removed by the Mod. We disagree on the interpretation of EU261 on whether downgrading seats could be a legitimate claim under the regulation. He thinks it doesn't apply, I think it might. "Your posts are off-topic as you blatantly do not q
When asked how to cancel an account Eir Reps on this site continually provide this link: https://www.eir.ie/switching/#ceasing Most of this page refers to switching not cancelling. The only specific reference to cancelling/ceasing refers to a required "30 days' written notice". It fails however
There appears to be a lack of familirity with the complaint escalation process among Eir customer care staff. Can you confirm that all customer care staff are trained in the code of practice for complaints?
"Pleading for leniency, defence counsel Joe Jeffers ....... had implemented an “interactive voice recognition system” to redirect callers to a more experienced customer service agent on their third call. Jun 26th 2018 Short URL Is this system operating at present?
Hi, Any way to avoid the ridiculous over 59 minute rule in landline charges? Obviously, apart from the pain in the ass option of tracking, terminating and redialing. Thanks
Eir has a crisis in customer service, well documented here. Customers are sitting on phones for hours and getting poor service when they ecentaully get through. When will Eir allow customers to work issues using email. Please don't use the privacy excuse, lots of companies do it. This would lim

Have a look at the marking on the actual cable. A code and supplier name should let you know if it's fibre
Assuming this was an EU carrier and the reservation is on one ticket. If you had a valid reservation and were available to board then this is a denial of boarding plain and simple. The airline should have asked for volunteers per the regulation so they are not in a great position to argue. In my v

Feckin hell that is a long way from Pakistan!
OK fair point. Min Connection time at HEL seems to be 35 minutes so your ok there. First question, was your flight from BKK to Hel with an EU airline? The "Pakistan airspace closure" is going to make compensation very difficult
"Subsequently we arrived into HEL 1 hour late and my connecting flight had already departed." As you've probably guessed, this doesn't look like a runner under EU261. You need a minimum of a 3 hour delay for compensation
