Ive moved my site from google sites to register365 and I finding it difficult to get the register365 versions of the dns settings
I've created a ticket but they havent answered.

(the first settings name is blank).

.domain - A - ? what IP address?
www.domain - CNAME - ns0.reg365.net

Is the second setting correct? I found it on the web.

(Register365 control panel - DNS settings also has a list of Templates. Which one should I try? I have the basic Windows hosting package).

(I've found that the "Windows 2012 hosting cluster" settings seems to have fixed the A CNAME settingv but not the 'www').

Hi guys,

Three days ago I signed up with <snip> and have had to raise 3 support tickets already because of their terrible service. Mainly to do with connecting to the server through FTP.

I have had a look on their Facebook page and I see comment after comment on their shoddy service and FTP problems. Maybe this is a thread for consumer rights but im wondering is it posible to cancel my contract?

Thanks in advance for any response.

Hey folks. My blog has started to get a lot of traffic so I wanted to give it a domain name. I purchased one from register365 and set it it up to redirect to my blogspot page. Worked fine..

But then, I started thinking a few things.. say I have a particular post on blogspot, I was kind of hoping I could set it up so www.domainname.com/posttitle would redirect to it but register365 doesnt have any obvious features to do so. Any ideas if it's possible ?

Cheers!

Hi Guys,

Which web host is the best for this?

Firstly, let me explain the issue...

I have a clients website set up on Blacknight, they use blacknight mail setting on their laptop on the go, so switch from ISP to ISP randomly. But when they do this their email sending stops working.

Blacknight tell me that this is because the ISPs are blocking the outgoing emails for spam reasons.

But this only happens to my clients on Blacknight and Register 365, it doesn't happen with Lets Host.

Does anyone know why this is?
Is there a way around (other than switching host)?

This is especially problematic for iPhone users.

JB
PS. please don't start slagging of individual hosts, I already know the good and bad guys.

Hi

I have recently purchased the LiteHost plan from register365. I was just wondering is it possible to switch to their AdvancedHost plan without too much hassle. I just want to be able to add more than one domain to the account as the LiteHost only allows one.

Regards

Hi.

It's time to renew my website, and while IEInternet want close to €300, register365 want ... less than €50 for the same service!

IEInternet agreed to reduce their cost to around €200 after I told them about register365, but claim to have a superior service than other hosting companies.

IEInternet did provide me with a very good service for the last 7 years, and I have no idea about register365.

Saving €150 is tempting, but since half of my business comes from the Internet, uptime and reliability are very important for me.

Any feedback is welcome.

Thanking you.

For the past year, I hosted my search website, Chofter.com, with Register365. As they claimed to be the largest hosting provider in the country, I thought they were a safe bet.

The hosting solution came with some nice tools, and easily installed applications like WordPress, so I thought I’d made a good choice.

How wrong I was. Register365.com have to be the least reliable web host I have ever come across. My website would inexplicably go down multiple times every week!! Each time I complained ( and I complained often), I was told that routine maintenance was being performed on the server.

How often do these machines have to be restarted? I know other hosts that only restart a couple of times a year, or even less, and these outages are announced weeks in advance. With Register365 I never knew when the site would be available and when it wouldn’t.

To top it all off, a few times when my site was down, I went to raise a support ticket and the entire register365.com site was down! If they can’t even keep their own site up and running, I doubt they put much effort into the uptime of my little website.

So…. based on the recommendation of a work colleague, I’ve switched over to a hosting company based in England, which actually publishes the uptime of its servers – my colleagues site last went down for a scheduled kernel upgrade about 8 months ago for a few minutes.

Register365 refused to offer any guarantee of availability when I questioned them about it on the phone, even though on their main page they have an image declaring they give “maximum uptime”, whatever that means.

They also refused to turn on something as simple and basic as resource compression (gzip or mod_deflate) for JavaScript and CSS files, with no reason given. Now that I have my own hosted Ubuntu install, I can set it up however I like.

If there’s something to be learned, it’s that expecting quality of service from an Irish organisation is a very risky step, even from a company as prominent as this one. So often in this country I see “shoddy workmanship”, to borrow a phrase, with no apology or attempt to rectify the matter, and certainly with no one accepting the blame. The IT sector is unfortunately not immune to this irritating Irish trait.

Stay far away from register365!
