Have we not made any progress after all these years, that tomorrow night, a sleazy sweaty gang of drooling horny deviants are all set to pile into the Olympia theatre in our capital city, and all just so they can be sexually gratified by seeing impressionable young models with so called "perfect" bodies, parade around - no doubt to the cheers of the shameless baying crowd, ravenously wanting to see as much naked flesh as possible.

It makes me sick.

If we are ever to achieve gender equality, we need to break the illusion that men are constantly sexually available and can be bought and sold like products on a shelf. We need to challenge the glamorisation of the industry, the idea that men being naked and oiling up their six-packs to the cheers of pervy women, is somehow "empowering" for them.

Are we seriously going to allow women to denigrate men in this way,using them as sexual entertainment. This objectification, really belongs to some sad and unenlightened distant past, yet here it is, hanging on in there.

For me empowerment and gender equality isn’t about being bought and sold like an object, empowerment is about access to equal pay, equal representation and an equal voice.
This flesh industry is exploiting young impressionable souls, who know no better than to think that their only worth, is to be sexual playthings. Young men exercising their bodies, to an wholly unnatural degree, sometimes up to ten hours a day, just so they can achieve these "washboard" stomachs, that these insatiable women demand and are so willing to pay out their cash for.


Time to put an end to the subservient man in our matriarchal society, once and for all. We need to stand up to these women and let them know that "real" men don't look like these "perfect" ideals that they demand and crave so openly and unashamedly.
