I always bought new cars before so I have no clue how NCT work,

I just bought a second car for my wife with ZuCar, but the NCT was missing,

I thought as I just bought it I probably had a few day allowances to complete the NCT but I realised I was Wong and that just illegal.

I booked an NCT yesterday after collecting the car but there is nothing available before the 22!

I'm wondering is my wife be alright driving the car, and I'm not sure why I asking because I'm pretty sure of the answer already :

no, she can't / that depend on the Garda / have a proof of the booking but still depend of the Garda

I know she can change it and proof that she booked an appointment but it doesn't make the car ok to drive or safe and it will be to easy for fraudster...

and on top of that, the car has no tax, which I can't even do because one I will receive the tax book by post as expected but also I suppose I can't do it without NCT....

Hi All,

My car's NCT due date is 08-Feb-2020 but I checked online and there is no slot available (In area, I am living) till 19-Feb-2020 for NCT renewal. I have already renewed insurance and motor tax for the year.

Can I take appointment for 19-Feb or I should look for some other areas (far away from my place) if they offer appointment before 08-Feb-2020?

Thanks in advance,

Hi
Bought a car from the UK and its MOT'd until Sep 19. Unfortunately i do not have the MOT disc or certificate - but i found this info on vehicleenquiry.service.gov.uk.
Will i be able to NCT the car without this certificate and how do i go about doing it? do i need to go into a NCT center or will i just wait until September 19 when the NCT is due?
TIA

My Mrs car is due its NCT in March. We got the notification over Xmas and as you can do it 90 days early thought we'd get it out of the way, as I managed to find an appointment at short notice.

The car passed but when I went to swap the disc, I noticed that the new one is valid until Dec 2018, instead of Mar 2019. In other words because I organised the test early, the car is now due its next test three months before it would have been!

Surely this can't be right?
