Hi Guys. Im fairly new here so please dont be harsh on me..

So me and my family have booked a holiday to Lanzarote at the end of april and now i am looking into some car hire options for that week. Just wondering if someone has any experience with any of the local rental places. Also what should i look out for when renting there?

Any advice is appreciated.

Just wondering if anyone has ever hired a motor home in the Canaries, and if so what was it like?

Myself and a friend are considering hiring one for a week at New Year on Lanzarote as we are having trouble finding accommodation and would appreciate any stories/tips/suggestions/experiences etc.

As my only ever awful "you couldn't make it up" holiday was in a campervan a few years back I'm hesitating but on the other hand, a good experiince this time round would erase the memories of the previous one :-D

Buying to rent in Lanzarote..

Hi Been looking on line at buying an apartment to rent out in Puerto del Carmen mostly. but I am unsure of the process, I am hoping a couple of you guys are aware of how to achieve this. Looking online seems quite confusing.
But the cut and thrust of it is I have 70K cash to spend
I am aware I need to keep 8-10% of that for fees, lawyers and the suchlike.
I need something like a NIE/NIF. Dont need resodencia as will only use it a month a year in the meantime.

So was wondering what was best to do?
Would it be Buy on a domestic complex and use a letting firm to deal with keys cleaning and rental or a holiday complex in which they deal with the rental aspect of it.

Hey - just wondering has anyone done this before - The lanzarote international marathon

I happen to be there when its on and I see they have a 5km/ 10km & half marathon on also. I was going to sign up for the 10km race and was wondering if anyone had maybe done it before/know anything about it. The whole thing was cancelled last year due to freak weather conditions apparently. I looked up the results for the 2013 10km race- it was won in 28min for men (with a good few under 32min) and a similar high standard for women. is the race short or is this the standard to expect (the ladies 5km mark time were 14min, which I feel has to be wrong!)

Has anyone any garmin links??

It seems to be well organised & I'd love to do a race somewhere different! if anyone has any options let me know

Hi all, 2 of us are looking to work the summer season in Lanzarote. If possible does anyone have info or tips on the following:

1) what part of Lanzarote would you advise to work / live?

2) Best way to secure bar work?

3) Reasonable accommodation within budget?

4) I presume we'll spend what we earn (accommodation, food & lifestyle) would we need to bring extra money over with us?

5) Would you recommend Lanzarote or elsewhere?

So Im going to Lanzarote next monday 1st of july for 12 days. I was supposed to be going with my friend but she has backed out I dont want to lose all the money so I have decided to go alone. Im a little nervous about it. What will I do etc
Has anyone done this before that could give me advice and/or is there anyone who will be over there the same time as me that would like to meet up and keep me company?

I tried asking for terms and conditions 3 times before I got a response and basically they are either a bunch of idiots, or a bunch of scammers, or both.
To enter any said competition a photo has to be liked and shared, you would assume then that by doing this you would then be entered in the current competition... not a bit of it.
Entry in the competition is purely dependent on their reaching 10,000 likes and then their picking one of them as winner.
Not one of the people who liked them and liked and shared their new picture, just anyone who liked them ever.
So whilst you are dutifully sharing their crap with all your friends and everyone is excited about 2 weeks in the sun some bozo who clicked like by accident 4 years ago is about to be picked.
My reply when I inquired and explained the little the fault in their logic, i.e. there not being any was "God... we are giving away a weeks accommodation so CHEER UP and GOOD LUCK"
What can I say, I still wouldn't say no to a free holiday but I pity anyone that is thinking of handing over their hard earned cash to such a bunch of idiots!

Alright guys,

Usually go to Fuerte on holidays for a surf/sail/kite but trying lanza this year.

Been wanting to try wakeboarding fora few months, has anyone do it over there or know of anywhere that does it? I know the surf and windsurf schools there but I dont see any of them doing wakboarding?

Have 5 flights from Cork to Lanzarote on the 28th Oct returning 4th Nov on Aerlingus.
Seats have been prebooked together and 5 checked in baggage.
If you look on Aerlingus site today, flights alone are 2785 eur. I am not looking to make a profit but would like to recoupe cost
Looking to recoupe some of my cost, so looking for 900eur. Name change will cost 100eur per ticket extra.
