Okay here we go I've commented on a few other threads here but someone suggested to make a fresh one on this board!

Extra features: so a lot of these services just share fuel prices and the data is messy and you only get the bare minimum information. With Pick a Pump we're actively (manually also to ensure data integrity) adding station contact details, services, opening hours and accepted fuel cards. Now this is on going so not every station will be updated as there's thousands across Ireland - North and South, but it's going well. We can't rely on Google Maps for this data entirely as it has old stations and duplicates and out of date info etc etc, so Pick a Pump is constantly working on being a source of truth for this. (Users can also report data issues of stations, or request new ones if we're missing any)

We are partnering with independent fuel stations, currently we've 10 fuel stations signed up and the goal will be to keep driving them to join and contribute - naturally the bigger the community the bigger the reach and the more likely more will be to sign up. At the very least we still have an amazing community contributing.

Give us a go, pickapump.com! My aim is to finally be the one fuel price and station services comparison tool, that will actually stick around.

I had a fuel pump go on me on a BMW 5 Series 2007 3 litre diesel. Symptoms were hissing/whining sound, Engine Management Light would come up signalling “ENGINE FAULT – LOW POWER). So I fitted a used one from a scrap yard on 15th March, which came off(2008 BMW 520d), but unsure of what mileage was on the car.

Now, over the last 2 days I’ve started to hear a missing sound again, exactly the symptom to lead to the last one giving up completely. Driving down the slip road this morning(under acceleration), ENGINE FAULT – LOW POWER fault popped up, but was lucky to plug in OBC2 dongle and reset the fault until I got to work.

Should a used pump fault so soon after changing? Now ,i know it was a second hand one, but to fault less than 2 months after fitting it seems very soon.

Hi. I wonder if anyone can offer any suggestions for a solution to my problem. I have a Skoda Fabia 1.2 '07. For a few months I had problems starting in the mornings. When it did eventually start after several attempts, it ran fine all day. Gradually the problem worsened to the point where the car would not start at all. I traced it to the fuel pump. Although the pump itself is fine ( I have used two different pumps and the problem is the same) the power supply to it was cutting off somewhere.( I set up a cable from the car battery to the live wire in the pump and car starts first time every time). Any one got any ideas as to where the power supply might be interupted and how I might sort it out? Cheers, Inshin.

Sorry if I am posting in the wrong place but you vw guys out there just to pick your brains about a problem i have

I had to get the head gasket done on it as it was letting water in to the oil, so I thought that was why it was slow to start in the morning, but once its started it starts fine for the rest of the day .... but got it back yesterday and went to start it this morning as yep ... it took ages to start again, i have been told it could be the fuel pump ? a ecl thingy , or a relay any of you guys had this problem, thank you for your help
