From what I heard talking to others, if you are a school student, don't go dressed in your uniform if it's during the school week, as apparently you are more likely to fail. They don't like the idea of young lads driven to school etc. Just from what I was told.

    Hi,

Not true. The examiner will issue a cert if in his opinion they are safe drivers. He could not care less where they drive, to school, work or even to the pub for three or four pints http://www.thejournal.ie/gardai-stop-cars-check-2807113-Jun2016/

    Not part of his job.

"That fellow in Sligo" does actually exist, and all of us around here know him. If you say to some random person in Sligo, "I thought I did well on my test but I just barely failed", 9 times out of 10 they will say, "Oh, you got old ___, did you". To be fair, I had him as my tester when I had my disastrously bad first test in which I literally had a panic attack, and he didn't perpetuate the agony by going over what I'd done wrong or needlessly prolonging the part where he handed me my fail slip. I did NOT have him as my tester when I passed.
