You wouldn't need very high revs anyhow and speed would depend on the ground . You could skip along nicely if it's flat , no stones and only clipping a few docks and the likes .
If it's heavy rushes it would be the opposite

I don't know what revs but probably over half throttle and take it handy if they are heavy .
You will know from the feel of things if you're going too fast or you will be breaking shear bolts too often

Neighbour cutting all his first silage atm.
Ffs do some people not look at the Radar or the forecast. Going to be lashing here in 30 mins - 1hour and then tomorrow, Tuesday and Wednesday is fine could be showers Thursday.
He must be getting weather forecasts from my contractor. It's never going to rain according to him. :D

He was thinking about the weather today.
Did you see the hail shower and then the greenkeepers brushing it off the greens?
    Crunchy.

We had a small local guy(does a lot of corn) who used to do 4/5 and his own so never a problem really to get it done time wise but Trevor does a good few guys about. Always did a top job without much hassle which says a lot about his crew.

Covers a big area now. Don't know how he does it. Always wrapped the bales in the field here. So was never a hold up here.
He bought a McHale fusion plus last year speeding it up even more. So no waiting on the wrapper from the place before and happy with the bales.

He covers all types of work.

Some absolutely vile gobshítes smashed a load of Buckfast bottles down at the local pier so the pool area and ramp is covered with broken glass. I spent the last half hour taking the largest shards and pieces out and will call the local Tús guys in the morning. What the hell goes through some peoples heads in order to do something like that??
I'm not talking one or two bottles here, I counted eight necks that hadn't been smashed to smithereens.

Oh and fcuk pine martens and the damn clever protected heads on them.
One got into the larsen and ate the caught bird, then killed my call bird through the wire :pac:

I assume he was also trapped in the larsen. How on earth did he kill the call bird through the wire? I have heard lads saying that they kill pheasant poults through the wire but cannot figure out how.
I've only ever saw two of them and both were running across the road in front of me and that was within the last 2 years. They are a lot bigger than stoats.

The call birds head was ripped off, looks like he managed to grab it through the wire when in the other side eating the one that was freshly caught. I know he can get in and out of the larsen trap as I caught him in it last year too. When he climbs up the wire and hangs onto the lid, his weight brings the hinged top down and he squeezes out.
I often catch a glimpse of them round here, probably why we've no rabbits.

I'm terrified of the Pine Marten visiting here to have a go at the hens. I've several runs of electric wire in place and I've a couple of mink traps set that I'd be hoping he'd check out before the henhouse.
There's a serious population explosion of Pine Martens. Im seeing plenty of them in my travels.

Bull sale cuming up soon in tipp mart. I think they run them every few weeks. I have a nice bull to sell.

I know it's getting on in the year but was anyone at the bull sales there before? And would you consider it an ok sale to sell a bull?

I'd have a bit of a travel to bring him to it so just asking has anyone been? Thanks

10 years ago I bought a lake boat from a couple who moved from the UK to a small holding in the vicinity of Lough Arrow. When I viewed the boat we got chatting (as one does) and they told me about the problems that they had with pine martins repeatedly wiping out their flock of poultry. As a poultry keeper I never had a problem with pine martins, sionnach was my nemesis. Anyway this couple caught a pine martin in a stable and contacted their local gun club for help. They told him to contact the NPWS ranger
The shteett hit the fan when the ranger arrived on site and saw the pine martin in the stable. The ranger "cautioned" the couple for capturing a protected species under the Wildlife Act..

The breeding season is well on the way.
What breed, age and conformation to the specs nowdays - as in how many stars does he have hanging from his dangly bits
Unfortunately it's all about stars these days.
Thankfully I quit breeding pbr's and sucklers several years ago.

A super BA bull, fcuk all stars because his sire was imported. He has lovely calvs. I think that's where these stars fall down big time. The gene pool is going to get small fast and there will be 5 star inbreed screws going around.

Got a text there from Enfer that I now qualify for negative herd status for bvd, does this mean testing now costs me less? Do I need to do anything?
