    *gratuitous rumour klaxon*

Cresswell and Wilson to Liverpool (yikes)

    and
Length of Divock Origi's injury absence named, and it's not good news for the Belgian Empire Of The Kop 09:20

I didn't actually check the article to see if the injury length is a boy or a girl.

Game tomorrow would have been so much more important had Arsenal not won last night, and UTD and West Ham slipped up. As it is a win would be nice to keep pressure on, but fourth is gone.
I still reckon Klopp plays strong team as 5 days to Villareal game, so plenty of recovery time. A winning habit is always good.

Mignolet, Clyne, Moreno, Sakho, Lovren, Allen, Milner, Lallana, Firmino, Countiho, Sturridge

I think it could be the same team as Bournmouth. With Origi out now I think Sturridge will be on the bench. Too much of a risk with the EL being the only thing to play for this year.

Could be Firmino up top with Ojo, Ibe and Lallana behind him. Stewart and Allen in midfield. With Lucas and Toure at CB again.

Smith and Flannagan at full back.

The Owen thing is a bit meh, bit like what he'll be like as an ambassador, he'll bore people so much they'll follow Van Gaal instead.

We still have a Europa cup spot to play for, so I want us to win versus Newcastle.... BUT.... If I did have to choose a game to lose at home this season, tomorrow's would be it!

I don't know how I feel about the new kit. But I do know that Emre looks glorious in it.

Owen definitely won a bet to get the job. Nothing else makes sense to me.

It's purely a commercial decision. He's international ambassador which means he'll be traipsing around far flung countries promoting the LFC brand to people who don't view him through local Liverpool or wider UK/Irl Liverpool fans eyes i.e. they won't have such an issue with the fact that at the end of his career he played a few games for Utd and scored a grand total of 5 goals for them.

International fans will be impressed with the fact he:-

    - Was one of Liverpools best ever strikers. (118 goals in 216 appearances)
    - Won the Ballon d'Or (albeit in it's old incarnation)
    - Was Liverpool's top goal scorer from 1997–2004 including making a major contribution to the 2001 treble.
    - Won 89 caps for England scoring 40 goals.

Close to home he may be seen as a Judas and a bit of a tit but in far flung Malaysia/Thailand/Philippines etc they will appreciate what he did for the club and not be bitter about what he did (which was SFA) after he left the club and IMHO they're right.

True. Add in playing for Real Madrid, and I can start to see why they went for it, I suppose.

Owen's an International Ambassedor apprently. I'm not sure why anyone would expect any traditional football values to be associated with a role that's an invention of modern football economics

3 games to get a CL place.

4 games to get a Europa place.

    Do the math!

Seriously, will 7th get Europa, or do we need United to win the cup?

Utd need to win the cup for that to happen.

Plenty to play for in the league then, still an all. Imagine this season without our Europa adventures.

My concensus is that Milner looks like Hendo's scorned ex, longingly gazing in his direction hoping for even a momentary glance back in his direction. Haven't even noticed the jerseys yet! :P

Well can you please explain why Can is gazing longingly at Mig's torso while you are at it?

Those jerseys are boring. Milner boring. Even with the homo-erotic overtones.

Will be nice to hear his song again.

Might as well have a bit of Luis Garcia's, Ring Of Fire, and Best Midfield In The World while we're at it!

Still love the fact that Klopp is our manager. Just watching his press conference for the Newcastle game now and I love his demeanour and attitude towards football, and life in general really. His answer about fans who want to cheer Rafa tomorrow, he replied, if you want to celebrate Rafa then do it. That is how I would say hello to an old friend.
My housemate got a puppy, which kinda means I got a puppy, around the same time we got Klopp. I already know I'm gonna be destraught when I lose either, but for now I'm gonna enjoy the good times! :D

100% agree. Obviously I want us to win as default but I also really want a Rafa led Newcastle in the Premier League next season. Would be a great addition to the line-ups of managers next season, especially if Jose gets the Utd job. Not to mention the added bonus of getting to see Rafa almost single handedly be responsible for Big Sam's first relegation from the Premier League. :)
Also I plumped for Defoe in FF over Sturridge to free up some loot for my midfield but that was before I realised Divock was out for the season. :(
