3.55 Fairyhouse Top Gamble 3pts @ 6/5
An improving sort who is travelling from Britain for this race. Top Gamble won a grade 2 easily last time,and Richard Johnsons comes over for just this horse today. Twinlight could be dangerous if bouncing back to form. I do think that Top Gamble will win and if he was trained by a bigger name he'd be odds on.

4.30 Fairyhouse Dont Tell No One 2pts @ 11/1

11/1 is a massive price for Dermot Weld's 8 year old in this contest. He's had a career blighted by injury meaning this will only be his 5th start and his 4th under rules. He easily won a bumper in Galway on heavy ground on his debut. This was a very good performance as it was said he would prefer better ground and the form of those in second and third was solid as they won listed and graded races not long after. After 2 and a half years off he came back and won a Thurles maiden hurdle with the first 3 well clear. On his next 2 runs he was third in a grade 2 and fell when staying on into second a conditions event. He's obviously a pretty decent animal and a mark of 126 vastly underestimates him. The step up in trip to 3miles is a positive as is the better underfoot conditions he will encounter here. Even if he doesn't win today he will certainly be one to keep onside in future.

5.05 Fairyhouse Art Of Payroll 1pt e/w @ 25/1

Looks a big price here and has dropped to a nice enough mark. His last 2 runs have been an improvement on his early season form over fences and he should go well at a price on ground which will suit him.

6.05 Fairyhouse Sydney Paget 2pts @ 7/4

Was a very good horse on his day and has been running well in points. Has good form over this trip and the ground should suit. Will win if anywhere near his best.

6.35 Fairyhouse Some Neck 2pts @ evens

Ran into 2 smart horses in his first 2 bumpers and those experiences should stand to him here. Runs for the formidable bumper partnership of Patrick and Willie Mullins under the ownership of Rich Ricci.

4.10 Exeter Admiral Blake 1pt @ 4/1

A return to hurdles can bring out the best in Admiral Blake at Exeter today. The 9 year old has been chasing recently but his form over the larger obstacles has been poor, and on his return to hurdles he looks well handicapped. He is only 2lbs above his last winning mark last January. The heavy ground should be no problem with all his wins coming on soft or heavy going. He has previously won at Exeter and over the 3 mile trip. The one slight concern I would have is this is a Class 4 and all Admiral Blake's wins have come in Class 5 races. Admiral Blake was 8/1 last night so he is obviously well fancied in some quarters and hopefully he can get his 4th career win today.

5.40 Wolverhampton Clary 1pt @ 10/3

Just 5 go to post for the 10f fillies handicap at Wolverhampton and the one I've gone for here is Clary. In 12 runs since here comeback last August she has been out of the first 3 just once. She is an ultra consistent 6 year old. Today she steps up to 10f for the first time. She has shaped as though this trip will suit, as on her last few runs she was getting going far too late over 8f. Hopefully the step in trip can bring out some improvement in her.

6.20 Clonmel Bright New Dawn 5pts @ 5/6

Missed the 5/4 that was available but I can't see Bright New Dawn getting beaten here. He's 6lbs clear on official ratings and is the class horse in the race. Although he doesn't win too often, this looks an excellent opportunity for him. He has lots of good graded form and the ground and trip should suit. Walk To Freedom could follow him home.

An Ascot Course and Distance winner who is below his last winning mark. The ground should be alright and he ran a good second 2 runs back. Should run a big race if over his Cheltenham exertions.

5.30 Ascot Penmore Hill 4pts @ 11/10

Should beat this lot on ground that suits, over a trip that suits. Polisky might be a danger if he shows his best form but he is as ungenuine as they come and finds it hard to win.

1.50 Exeter Aurillac 4pts @ 2/1

Really fancied this lad last time at Cheltenham. He never travelled in that grade 1 contest but I'm confident that 3 miles on this easier surface in a lower grade will bring out the best in Rebecca Curtis charge. He has some impressive bumper form and is unexposed on just his fourth start over flights. Wears first time cheekpieces.
