If you had put the camera on the other wall you'd be able to see the cows posterior and the fork wouldn't be in the way;)

Ah but the two calving pens are left and right of the camera so I can turn the cow out, twist the camera and go back to bed :)

It's actually much clearer than above, dunno where the flicker was coming from when recording. It's the red whitehead I'm watching, she's 2 1/2 weeks over to a big blue, last year she had a massive whitehead ch bull and I was lucky she had no trouble.
Wish I'd moved the pitchfork though (it is called a fork, not a graip):D :pac:

    Fixed that for ya :-)

Mmm, doubt many on here have trod on a big fat rat in the middle of the night whilst checking cows calving.
    A pure hateful screech

Ewwww no! I'd have screeched the place down and would quite possibly still be yelling if it happened me.

I'd have screeched the place down and therefore banished every rat from Leitrim  and driven the feckers across the neighbouring borders :D

Trying to hold in a shout as it will wake the whole house. They are normally on our kitchen floor at this time of year

Found one behind the bin our kitchen yesterday, still can't fathom how he got in. Sealed everywhere I could find around presses and pipes last winter.
Fired the fecker out the window anyway, it'll be next harvest by the time he makes his way around the house again :D

It's a cowcam, it can be connected up to the phone but I only use it on the laptop or tv for the moment. It'd be the same image quality on the phone though. There's also a small handheld monitor that comes with it that is perfect for my technophobe father.

I have bagged ration stored under PVC covers i bought on DoneDeal earlier in the year. I was going to get a bag from the back of the pallet and stuck my hand back to catch the bag and pull it out from under a bag of creep feed. I pulled and felt something slither between my hand and the bag and saw the cover bulge.

I let out the biggest screech and he let out the biggest screech and I jumped back and this big hoor of a rat followed my hand out and ran off down the yard.

I take the covers off now before I take a bag out:o

Looks like both (original closed one) are gone. Probably for the better.

I've just put up a forum announcement on the main page, please read. The situation is still unsettled so keep in touch.

The aim of argument, or of discussion, should not be victory, but progress. Joseph Joubert

The ultimate purpose of debate is not to produce consensus. It's to promote critical thinking.

Updated announcement is out. In short, thread is back and follow the Boards advice 'Don't be a dick'.:)

There is a grey crow attacking my kitchen window all morning. Sun is right on it so can't see how it would be attacking a reflection
Next time I am releasing the cats :pac:
