The guy that leaked this was the first person to leak wall running and specialists in black ops 3, so he has a good track record.:(

So lots of us are dreading this years release after all it's from Infinity Ward, but not the Infinity Ward that gave us Modern Warfare 1 and 2, no this the crowd that gave us Ghosts which was one of the most boring Call of Dutys ever made! The maps were Huge and badly designed, kill streaks were pretty crap and it just did nothing for me! Since then Mark Rubin who was the executive producer of Ghosts has left the studio, Todd Alderman joined from Respawn he was the original IW team and was going to head up the multiplayer development but went back to Respawn after 4 months, which is kind of ominous for the project! Since then they have hired 3 Naughty Dog employees to work on the project.
So for the last couple of months rumours and speculation have been flying around about what the next Call of Duty will be? Most fans wanted a "boots on the ground" MW4, but a UK magazine TMUK stated that it would be Ghosts 2 then a rumour from an industry insider about the new Nintendo NX console said Call of Duty would be coming to it and it would be called Bloodlines.
But now an Industry Insider called Shinobi602 who was right about Blops 3 would have cybernetics and wall running stated this years title would be set very far into the future and based around space combat!
From my point of view this does not bode well for this years release I'd nearly take Ghosts 2 over gravity jumping space wars, if I wanted that I'd play Destiny or Halo! So I'm hoping this rumour will change again, but we should get some campaign footage at E3!
Maybe that's why Treyarch added on 1000 additional levels they know players will stick with Blops 3 for another year!
What do you want to see in this years Call of Duty? Would you take a Ghosts 2 or MW4 over the Space Call of Duty ?

Looks like this could well be the next step for COD.

What I would give for a remastered WAW or COD4.
Feck it... why not a whole new COD from either of those eras.

I won't be buying this COD then.

I saw give them a chance. It's the natural next progression. I'm waiting to see what they produce. A change from the usual is needed, and i know people are saying that they'd love for the series to go backwards, but i'm happy to wait and see what they produce.

My problem is that they got it almost perfect with BO2. Everything had a counter and nothing was really overpowered. Could do well solo or in a team. BO3 therefore I had huge hopes for with an extra year to develop.

What I get is thrusters. Not as bad as in AW which actually wasn't a bad game all things considered as the maps were well designed for it but BO3 didn't need the thrusters. I wouldn't mind the forward thrusting replacing the slide but the upwards thrust takes a lot of tactics and the modicum of predictability out of the game. Uncounterable special abilities that everyone gets was another ridiculous design choice that just screams gimmick over substance. Which since BO2 could probably sum up the series.

I actually love the movement system in black ops 3, it's a nice balance between the old school games and advanced warfare. What I don't like is the specialists, I think this game would be so much better without them.
I'll definitely be giving the new cod a chance, I'm not into sci fi at all but if the core gameplay works well with decent hit reg and connection, and the maps are decent, then hopefully we'll have a good game

Thank you! I thought I was the only one who despises specialists.

The movement in BO3 is better than in AW, but i loved both games. I don't mind the specialists, except for Batterys Kinetic Armor. Everything else is manageable, but the Kinetic armor is OP in my opinion. And all the "elite" players use it. It needs to be nerfed a bit. But, the thing about Kinetic Armor is that it doesn't work against other specialists abilities. I saw someone activating it once, and i had just activated Firebreaks Purifier. A single spray and she was gone. I'd imagine the same holds true for all the specialists weapons.

I think the specialists were a good idea to change things up, but their implementation of them was wrong imo. The way they are right now, they remind me of the old deathstreaks, the guy on the other team going 3-27 will still earn his gravity spikes once or twice a game, an extreme example I know but just to make the point.
Getting back to the next cod, the infinity ward games were always my favourites, controversial but mw3 was probably my fav cod ever, and even ghosts was better than a lot of people made it out to be, so fingers crossed they deliver again

I just want a game like MW2 again!

My favourite campaign, my favourite spec-ops, my favourite weapons (including the best sniper in COD, the Intervention), Rust, Highrise and Terminal. There's just too much things in this game that are good!

But those that mean a backwards compatable title or a fully reworked for this hen of MW? It's a clever move by Activision/Infinity Ward as they know that the COD in Space has been received negatively by the community! But by throwing in a remastered MW, most players will buy it just for that game alone, just keep the sales up! We should get a reveal/teaser next week!

I doubt they are going to allow multiplayer on saw MW1 probably be just the campaign as they wilk want everyone playing Infinate Warfare

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,174 ✭✭✭ItsHoggie

Has to be atleast one remaster anyway

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,425 ✭✭✭✭Snake Plisken

If it has multiplayer it will be great to play it without any hackers!

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,504 ✭✭✭✭sryanbruen

At least it's better than "SPACE WARFARE".

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,291 ✭✭✭Simply Red

I hope they use this chance to rebalance the game and add a competitive playlist. Yes it was amazing at the time but it had a lot of stuff that was very annoying, triple nades, juggernaut etc

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,425 ✭✭✭✭Snake Plisken

Clever they have hidden the logo for Infinate Warfare at the end of Nuketown and a giant spaceship!! https://twitter.com/charlieintel/status/726098974965297152

I for one will be one of the same tools standing around at midnight on launch night to get this or sitting watching a preorder to activate on psn 😑

I don't get the ghosts hate.. I thought ghosts was the better game than advanced warfare anyway and the movement with thrusters is a load of pants.

Lol same I will be booking Friday the 4th off work and have the pre-order on PSN. Although I disagree with you regarding Ghosts being better then AW, I loved AW after the grey overlarge maps, just boring I got to the top prestige and stopped playing it, with AW I reached Master Prestige and kept playing it and enjoying their version of Arena mode which is far superior to Black Ops 3 version!
Anyway the hype is real, more so for the remake of Cod4 which will have multiplayer!
