    Now changed to Clonmel.

    Utterly shambolic, but not surprising.

    NHL 2A

    Kildare 2-9 Derry 1-9 (HT)

Big second half ahead. It's very important that Kildare retain 2A status to further their development.

    NHL 2A

    Kildare 2-18 Derry 1-16 (FT)

Huge result for Kildare hurling. The only downside is the red card picked up by Johnny Byrne who will now miss the first round of the Christy Ring.

What was wrong with Portlaoise on Wednesday night?

What was wrong with Portlaoise on Wednesday night?

Leinster GAA claim it was agreed at a meeting that the pitch at O'Moore Park is in need of "urgent remedial work" and that Navan is the only other suitable venue available.

Not at the moment, unfortunately, but it is expected to by the end of August.

Not a peep from anyone in the county board to clarify the situation.

Heads firmly buried in the sand as usual.

Clonmel Sportsfield very close to the town centre.

Travelling from Kildare on M7 watch out carefully for the changeover to the M8 after the toll booth. Continue all the way to Exit 10, you are now on the N24. less than 20 minutes from the pitch.
